Hello, figured I would start a new thread in this section and focus on the 24 Carat seedlings I started 9 days ago. I will be waiting a few more days to transplant them. I have 7/9 of the 24 carats in a 4x4, they will go into the 2.2 gal Autopots this weekend. Right now I have 4 Autocobs on in the 4x4, but have 2 more that I can turn on later if needed. I am trying Biotabs products and Autopots with these 24 carats.
I have another thread in Mephisto section covering the 6 Sour Cracks that are ahead of these 24 carats. I will be doing a little bit of experimenting with the Biotabs products to,see what works best. I use 100% straight Coco, according to Biotabs products take longer to start working in Coco vs Soil. Also, once my 3BOG plants start to come down I will be starting some different Mephisto strains. Currently have a 4x4 and 6x6 with 100% Autocobs as my lighting. Will add pictures this weekend once I transplant the 24 carats. Moving forward my seed will be planted directly into Autopots with premixed/precharged Coco. I didn't have space to do so when I started the seeds..I think they will grow faster planted Directly. They will have more food than just being in beer cups for 10-14 days...Once I transplanted my Sour Cracks they did better than in the cups. Also ground up a Biotab and used it to top, dress a few cups to see if that makes a difference on growth or now. Thanks for stopping by, will share pics later this week once transplanted, nothing much to see yet. Peace.slow

My man. Thanks for making a journal. I hope all the new experiments work out well.
Thanks Big, I hope the experiments work out well too! First time using Biotabs and AutoPots. First run of Sour Cracks and First run of 24 carats. So I have nothing to compare to, besides the experiments on themselves. I will update the Sour Crack pics in a few days to,see how the Autopots are working and will take pics of the 24 carats once they are transplanted. Peace, slow

Wooo, hot damn! You jumped right into the deep end huh? Auto pots and auto cobs are a match made in heaven! I'm curios about the Biotabs look forward to your grow journal. When growing in coco, I mix some coco 50/50 with wormcastings as a starter medium. It holds the coco together at transplant and gives you good nutrition for your seedling. When you transplant, you inoculate the medium with beneficial microlife, at least for a while. My transplants alway show new growth within hours of transplant, no transplant shock ever. Best time to transplant is when the leaves are as wide as the starter pot, that tells you the roots have filled the medium.

I have the whole Biotabs line. They have a couple dry starter products to mix into the coco before watering with the liquid products. Once they get hooked up to the Autopots it is straight water until week 5. Then a 1 time feed by hand and back to straight water. They threw in some PK booster tea. I am not going to use it my first couple rounds of plants, I want to see how they do without it first.

Ok, I am going to start prepping my Coco tomorrow and transplant most of the 24 Carats tomorrow and Friday. The seedlings look fine, but I know they would do better in the 2.2 gal pots with Biotabs. I think the roots will be good enough for transplanting. I am not used to using Biotabs yet, I have a feeling my seed directly planted this morning is gonna start off better. All of the seeds started in cups seemed to start off well, but kinda stall around day 7 or so. I assume they are hungry. I didn't know that I should grind up a Biotab and mix into the Coco until after the seeds were planted into cups. I have been watering with 2ml/l Orgatex as directed, but I think they would do better with some tablet food too. I have the space to start them directly into final pots moving forward.

Great info pop!

Well I just started 3 more Sour Cracks! I have only had a couple sprout tails in cups of RO water. So tonight I used some wet toilet paper and put it in a baggie. I put it in the dark, on top of one of my photo veg tents. About 75/76F consistently. I soaked the last seed for about 3 days. IT sank, but didn't open. Planted it this morning. It will be up in 1-2 days most likely. I want to see if these seeds will germ faster using this method. Will check them in 24 hrs.

Those 3 seedlings sprouted tails in 36 hours. All were planted and above ground 36 hours later. So, today is day 2. I also finally received my reflectors yesterday, so I put them on those 4 cobs. And one more in another area. Gonna wait to put the rest on after I chop some plants. Transplanted 2 more of the 24 carats. I have 3 more to transplant.

2 of the seedlings are tall and growing fast, the other 2 are staying shorter for the moment, one is actually a little behind...I had to help get its shell off. These 4 are the first of the Sour Cracks,to go directly into final, pots. I have a great feeling about them. Will take pics later tonight with the wifes phone. Peace
