Grow Mediums Autopot questions

Could you use osmocote plus? Concentrate near the bottom of the airport.

I don't use anything else other than the tabs.
I put 2 in most autos unless I know they are gonna be big then I'll use 3.
Just use a light potting soil. Mines 2 bags for £10....

They did send me some boom boom spray which I use occasionally but usually forget :)

Okay :) What about the yield ? How does it compare with the “normal” nutes...

You dont use the tea then ? As the guide says ?

I'am doing my first grow using autopots i'am using biobizz lightmix with 30% perlite and an inch or two of pebbles at the bottom, the nutrients iam using is the canna aqua range and some other stuff.

What schedule are you following ? With the canna aqua ? I was recomended Coco with pebbles and then the cana aqua Line...

Im confused, i might end up setting up 2 systems and trying different things.

Yield is much better than before I moved to autopots.
I love the nutes and don't see me ever going back to liquid nutes.
If you do go for bottled nutes make sure you buy spare tubing for the autopot system so if you get any blockages you can swap it straight out for a clean one.

Yes offcourse. I Will Think a little.

Im going for alot of pots and 2 tents, so could try each one out. And compare. But i like how easy it sounds with plain water....

I dont understand Why they Said Coco and pebbles with canna aqua serie... thought Coco required some special nutes, therefor they have the Coco serie nutes from cana...
I never Tried Coco, so have No idea about it all...

Thinking ill try set the half up with biotabs, and different medium’s, soil, cocopeats, fertilized soil, and the soil and bark... just to see...

Maybe ill set the other half up with soil and bottled nutes.

I've never used coco I know soil,I hand watered for about 2 weeks then turned on the rez, the nutes are at 3/4 the recommended dose.

Does biotabs work too with regular seeds?? I mean does anyone know how long the tabs are active ? :)

I have read a lot of topics now, funny i could not find thoose soil grows with google.... but really im going with the soil, i need the ease of it, and i Will be trying out the biotabs... i might try different soils in some of the pots.

I sold all my gear last year, so i am starting from scratch, i have bought 2 maghnum xxxl reflectors which is air cooled, i have ordered the first tent 4x8... i Will make a grow log when i get all the parts home and set it up in a couple weeks..

The last time i grew i must admit i grew regular seeds, i have never Tried auto’s, i landed in here because its the best forum with autopots and biotabs...

I still have a few questions about the biotabs though....

1) when you top water the tea, does it clog up the aquavalve? I guess there Will be runoff, and it Will end up in the base of the pot...

2) are there any system enhancememts you guys have made ? I see most of you are running it regular and with a airstone,

3) are you running dripclean or anything?

4) are you running any airstones in the res ?

5) biotabs recommend 50/50 mix, but i see many uses 70/30 and so on? Have it been tested in here to work better or?

6) i see some are adding humus and Earth improving things, Whats your experience with it ?

7) any experience in here with using a all mix soil which is fertilized and biotabs?

8) im sure i have a ton more questions, thanks for your time guys. :)

1 & 2) If you add a 1/4" shutoff valve before the the tray/aquavalve you can shut off the the reservoir night before you top water your tea.
3) I'm running drip clean in my reservoir
4) I don't run an airstone in my reservoir just every few days I stir the nutes in the res
the rest I can't answer as I haven't tried biotabs or run soil mix in my autopots.
