Hi there just wanted to share something I am working on. Using autopot bases to feed wick irrigation via cord/string. Still working out the details but I do have very high hopes. Reason for this for me is I prefer smaller plants in smaller pots and would like it to all be feed automatically.

Here is my original set up, I think it’s alright if I had bigger cord but with the thinner cord it’s not enough. I think 1/2” would work with bases so low.
the cord is in the tubes to prevent evaporation
here it is after I lifted the bases to reduce how long the wicks have to be. Seems to be working much better.
the pots were outside under a tree, several cleanings needed. I know looks terrible
kinda posted this early, still working out the kinks and it’s made more difficult with plants that aren’t doing much other than recovering but will be over that hump soon
here is a picture of an older grow to get an idea of how I like to grow
that’s my 2x3, it for germ/storage/res and other stuff. now trying to replicate in 4x4 and hand watering that in a 4x4 would suck
res (elevated white bucket), sits next door.
Will try and update this once I get everything dialed in and cleaned up and decent looking plants.
