Outdoor Bal's SuperAutoGarden

Oh, almost forgot the DP girls! Stones slap

They're much smaller(big AX is around 1m tall) than the Superautos, but faster at flowering.

Here are some pictures of them @ 49 days

They don't smell much, I expected more aromas. But this is not bad, because less smell=more safety!
I hope they will stretch some more and get more branchy, we'll see.

That's it for this time, next update in circa 2 weeks, I have to climb some mountains!

Good Carma cloud to all outdoor growers!

Leaving a karma clou

It's time for another update.

Peak day temperatures of the last two weeks are hitting around and some days over 35°C, so the plants are not liking it, they would prefer slightly less heat. Some big leaves and one branch are gone and their stretch apparently stopped.
I realized my change in watering was not enough, the soil is pretty dry due to very high evaporation. Now I think it's set for the better, I will go control it next week and add some ferts also.

Now, the pictures:

There is another SCH beside but she will be a late finisher, so no pics for now.

Not to forget the Dutch Passion plants, I'm liking them but I think they're too small and have very little branches, so will not produce very much, I think it's unrealistic to expect more than 50g on average. Well, we shall see, they have almost a month to go, quite a lot of time left.

They are smelling quite alike, no real difference for now. The smell is a mix of ripe fruits, melons and spices, maybe the TD has some skunky bit also. I hope they grow some more or at least put on more weight. Maybe I'm just not patient enough:)

That's it, see you next week:peace:

Very good Balarama nice plants.
Just out of interest ! if you could only grow one strain outdoors next year from your current crop which one would it be ?

@califas
First day was may 10th for the superautos and june 6th for the DP autos, so it's day 88 for superautos and day 62 for DP autos.
I think they will go until day 125-135 at least.

I find it somehow strange that the most "sativa" pheno was the first to flower but I reckon it will flower more time, being more hazy.

@maffro
About chosing only one plant; it's still early to say since the big and stunted chazes have not really grown their buds yet. It depends on so many things, one of them is production(of course), but as I was hoping for a mostly sativa smoke this year, I'd say the sativa pheno of the Chaze and the SCH are my favorites so far, also by the looks!
But having smelled the flowers and rubbed the stems of the other Chazes, man, they got some nice aromas, so any exclusions would be unfair to make at this point:)
It's kinda like asking which babe I would take home, with only looking at them:shrug: The "soul" is most important;)

Ask me the same question when they will all be done and we'll see what the answer will be:smokebuds:

Oh yes, if *stitch* comes up with another superauto sativa, that would be the answer:D:

hello bro

i'm preparing some 4 new SuperAutos for 2014 like like SuperAuto PURPLE HAZE and some other secrets ones... ;)

This won't let me sleep until 2014!!!:woohoo:

Thanx for the teaser:wiz:

Mini update @days 95 and 69:

The SatiChaze looks very well, doing some "magic" and getting fatter, but still elegant and slim atm. The SCH follows her, some days slower but also very nice.
The Big and StChaze are in a good start of flowering and will probably come out veeery nice, I was a little afraid they will be late however the run is on now. The young SCH has shown more preflowers and will be some weeks behind the older sisters, so I hope to have nice colours on the leaves, autumn style.
The SatiChaze's smell is getting sharper, spicy, minty and to me a little scary. I'm not used on this kind of smell in cannabis; to my it's found in the thai sativas(please correct me if I'm wrong:shrug:) also the thin leaves make it look like that.
The SCH is not so sharp, more sweet and earthy.

The smells are changing, developing complexity and presence, and still they are not strong, more subtle, you can't smell them from two meters away.

Sadly I was not able to store the photos I made, just one made it, I would really like to show you the SatiChaze:P
But this is also a beautiful one, the StChaze's top:

This was taken from around 1,6m height, the top is at 2,2 meters and it's just the "stunted" one. My ass is in LOL mode:D:

Now the DP girls.

Getting closer to finish, they probably need around 15-25 days to be really ripe, the smells are very fruity and full bodied I only would like them to be more lemony, maybe there is still time.
Also some weight is missing, as there are very few branches, so mainly cola shaped plants. I think the setup is not so great for them, would love more light and space in their short vegtime.

The pistils are half brown/white, TD's nugs look tight, AX's slightly more relaxed. When smelling them, my nose touched the top and I'm still feeling the "fruits" at moments:)

I will ask the DP guys when to chop when I'll have some pictures. Some leaves are fading, most are still green.

Cheers:peace:

Hey Bala i couldnt see the photo from that last post ? could be just me, sounds like youll have some fresh meds at the end of the month must be exciting times ! Looking foreward to seeing how much the superautos have come on inthe last week, buds should be filling out now cant wait.
That daft question i asked before ! I didnt explain properly, It was to determine which plants look best at an early stage or which flower fastest / respond to the day light shortening quickest as these will be better further north !
