I've also ordered some Terpinator, for those who don't know what that is, this is the description taken from their website. First saw it on Remo's videos, sounds like a real good product.

How does it work?

Some types of plant oils have terpenoid, or compounds that contain very interesting odor molecules. Terpenoids are molecular compounds that consist of repeating units of a 5-carbon structure called isoprene. Many plants incorporate aromatic compounds that produce a plethora of odors that have been long thought to affect our physiology through odor activation (aromatherapy).*

Two of these odor molecules are limonene and myrcene. These occur in a wide variety of oil producing plants, and can be described to smell like lemons and grapefruit, respectively. Many researchers have been aware of the power of odor chemistry to affect our moods, for example, many people describe a feeling of “sunny happiness” when smelling limonene. These types of compounds end up in the glands that inhabit the “skin” of plants, and can create biological affects in our bodies when ingested. For example, the plant oils in mint can cause a feeling of relaxation when taken as a cup of tea.**

Have also added a couple more beans, which will be growing in soil along side these. A Super California Haze from short stuff seeds, described a s a soaring sativa high, and the other being a taiga #2 by Dutch passion, to which I've also heard great things about, and with my last think different I have much confidence in the makers!

Cant wait for this Terpinator to start kicking in!!

If it works as well as they say, this is a must for any Amateur+ grower. I'll report back once i start to notice some results, but just smelling the nutes and they are sweet!

On a good note, my second 300W LED just arrived. Its not a VIPAR, however extremely similar specs to the ones they supply, and also from eBay after quite a lot of hunting. The new one I have seems to be just as bright, and they advertise the draw voltage to be around 170-180 just like VIPAR, however the main difference being the new one i got has a bloom and a veg switch. When the veg switch is flipped, the spectrum seems to be almost exactly the same as my VIPAR one, but with less intensity as its only half lit up. When i flick the bloom switch, it then lights up a bunch of only RED LEDs, making the overall spectrum more orange/red than VIPARs.

Moved my super cali haze seedling outside for now giving this wonderful sunshine! am also a bit worried about mixing soil grows with my hydro one in case of bugs

Pics to come.

PS. Is there a problem with the signatures? I cant seem to edit mine without it coming up with an error

I'm getting some yellow/orange spots on some of the leaves of the plant that is a bit more developed, could this be a Mg defficiency?

Defficiency.jpg

The other plant isnt showing any signs of this at all, however id say she's probably about a week and a half behind the one with the spots and the buds haven't swelled as much. Other than that all looking good, however with my next set up im definitely going to let them stretch a bit more, makes it much more manageable to work with.

PPM is at about 1150, and staying stable, and they usually pull the PH up to about 6. Res temps are at around 25C.

Stay happy :)

So not a huge amount to show at this point as the buds are just swelling, have a few bud pics which are quite nice, buds are changing to a nice colour, almost like a slight red/purple hue to them.

Not 100% sure how long is left on these as im purely going by how they look and they are still growing more white hairs, im gonna say 3 weeks or so. One of the plants is a bit ahead of the other and i dont want to chop the smaller one too early as it still has quite a few undeveloped buds, so to be able to get a proper flush on them and use the GH Ripen on them going to have to run them long as I can

Last one is a bagseed i got outdoors for now, if I have space in my tent I may grow her out (considering it is in fact a her) I will at some point. Think its a strawberry kush but unsure

Nice looking buds! Be careful bringing that outdoor plant indoors, that is a great way to introduce pests into your indoor environment, and ime, they are a LOT tougher to eradicate indoors than outdoors, even if they show no signs of pests outdoors.

Nice grow man

Good Lookin' Out, Gadget! :)

Very nice mate and those orange spots are identical to the ones I was getting before adding calmag supplement.

Thanks for the replies! So a little update..

So have completely stopped using GH's 3 part base nutes, and now completely switched to their Ripen nutrients, which by the sounds of it is basically a PK booster (0:6:5), and according to GH (may be little bit of BS!) sends a "strong signal" to your plants that they are coming to the end of their life, although I imagine this is probably a marketing thing for the less experienced growers... regardless, since I started using it 2-3 days ago, a bunch of white pistils have popped up on both of my plants, even the one that looks like she's finished! So going to carry on using this for a few more days as I dont want to take these plants too much further, and then commence a flush of 5-7 days

Also still feeding AN's Budcandy at about 2ml per L, and Rhyzoflora's Terpinator at about 4-5ml per L. Still need to do a bit of research, but think ive seen somewhere that you can use these nutes (at least the terpinator) through flush with no problems, as its essentially just feeding the plant's terpines.

Honestly i've taken these plants further than I would have liked to, for about a week they had a sweet sweet smell about them, but these days when I open my tent its a little bit more faded and not quite as pungent as it used to be, making me think ive missed my ideal chopping window. There are some signs of amber in the trich's, but not overwhelmingly so, maybe 5-10%, and they are only partially ambered, so who knows maybe i'll be pleasantly surprised when I chop next week at some point.

This grow was a bit of a learning curve for me with the intro to LED, but i really cant wait to see what I can achieve next time round! Really is funny to see how differently both plants have grown considering they are the same strain... the one that is about a week and a bit behind or so looks real lush, still nice green leaves that are only just now starting to yellow, and the buds are perfect colouring too and grown very nicely. The other one seems to be much more of a brutal pheno, and took much more of a beating from the PH fluctuations when I was away some weekends than the other.

PPM - 1150

Will take some SLR pics at some point for some better detail.
