Basic Ventilation Concepts

previously posted this elsewhere but this looks like a better spot so..-preferably u want to change out the air in your room completly 4-5 times per min. therefore if your room is 2ftx4ftx6ft you have a total area of 48ft sq- Hieght x Width x Lenth of your room. in order to get the right amount of air flow you multiply the area of room(48) by 4or5, ill use 5. 48x5=240. Therefore a fan with a cfm rating of 240 is ideal because it will move 240 cubic ft of air per minute which changes out your rooms air 5 times every min. so to re-cap- WxHxL=? , ?x5=cfm.
also you can add cfm to efectively cool your lights heat output by dividing total watts by 4. so u have a light that is 250w, 250/4=62.5 this is the additional cfm's u need so add that to your number from part 1 and wal-a, total cfm required.(240+62.5=302.5cfm rating) hope thats helpfull to someone.

I may work this out actually this is really helpfull, thanks man.
