New Grower BB's cooking up!

Not big bud but Betty Boo. I got self bred regulars, around 30 (+40 or so unsorted), and first 5 have been in rockwool for 3 hours now. Next step is to get coco and some plastic pints (0.4l) and start to germ on those. To weed out (pun right there) the males I need an army in reservoir. I'm happy with 4 ladys since the breeder described a pheno with 'an invisible scrog'. Wish me luck so I can make a report on this rare, so far, strain

Thanks! First crack has emerged (this is 3rd day) and the loop might be straighten up tomorrow morning
I've 5 small rockwool cubes (one with this sign of life) and 8 coco hempy pints. They are day later planted than RW. Seeds straight to medium, I didn't want to risk the tap root.

Day 11 from seed / day 6 under the sun. Coco and pH 5 ~ 6 water. 17/1 germ rate, which I think is pretty good. Now assuming 50% chance to be female I should get the desired 4, right

Some questions as well...

Should I start to give nutes (Canna A+B) when 3rd pair of leaves have appeared? Longest roots are now 12.5 cm.
Now they are under 2 CFLs, am I to max the light (to a total of 6 CFL) along with the nutes or earlier?

The seeds I planted are from two Betty parents finished in late 2012. And judging the germ rate they're very healthy.

I'm wondering when to start the nutes. What is causing the risk of using them too early; the root system is not developed enough to handle them or the leaves are too small to deal them and the light? The reason I'm asking is because now the 1st true, and fully developed, leaves start to curve down from the tips. 2nd pair is slowly on their way. No difference if they've been on light watering or full nourishment that fills the reservoir (hempy buckets). I just lifted the lamps (4x20W CFLs) and see if it has any effect. I doubt since they're not that hot and there's no roof on my "cabinet" but netted baskets where the lights are strapped on. Current situation is coco and 5,5-6 pH water.

Alright. It seems that I got 12 girls. No more balls popping up. Tonight I double the nutes (from 5ml to 10 in 5L bucket) and test it with males.

One month celebration! Pistils have formed on some and it seems that all balls have been cut out now.

30 days from seed:

One in the back took long time to show sex and now:

23 days from seed

The young ones are developing fastest. I might have nuted them earlier than 30 dayz and/or 1 liter container is optimal for their root development.
