Today I‘ve got the time to start my adventure and I pressed rosin for the very first time. It was really fun so I decided to share it with you guys.
I use to smoke for +/- 45 years now (59 year old) and thought it would a good idea to stop smoking and start to vape instead. So my goal is to produce my very own thc-juice. I know … dabbers will hate me for that
- but I don‘t like the „true“ stuff (pure/strong) …. I have the idea to make a daytime e-liquid infusing the rosin into vg and pg, adding terpenes after winterizing.

So here we go:
Mephisto CDx3Bog, homegrown, organic, 3 weeks cured, RH should be around 62% (Boveda).
10gr. prepressed with the help of this handy mold an a vice. Than I cut it into 2 pieces and put it into 120micron rosin bags (Gaveda).
In the meanwhile I preheated my brand new press.
After reading and watching a lot of stuff about pressing rosin, I finally decided to press with the following setting:
Temp: 99*C
Time: 180sec
Pressure: 1.000psi
I put a 5gr. gram bag between the heating plates, closed them without applying pressure and preheated the bag about 20sec. Then -slowly and in steps- I started to apply more and more pressure, reaching 1.000psi 80sec before end of the process.
