Nutrients Best UK soil to use with Biotabs?

@milkmann with the aggressiveness and deterioration of the Bio Tabs and after seeing many many grows and having also done several types and numbers of things like the PK teas, extra tabs and less tabs.so imho the better soil to get instead of a lighter proprietary pre mix,is that of a slightly hotter mix like the all mix I hear is good and not too hot with a seedling plug or tier cup.imho that will have your plant stronger and healthier longer.in turn having better, stinkier and far more yummy meds at jarring time ime. food for thought. happy harvesting :D

I think it also depends on your watering style / regime. I water very little generally, and I didn't have any early deterioration issues with biotabs. I think maybe the more water you're putting through your pots, the quicker the tabs will deteriorate. So autopots etc gonna have more issues I would say. I hand water little and often and use around 40-50 litres total per plant for their 10 week or so lifetime. I have tried 2 tabs and 3 tabs, in 10 and 15 litre airpots, and didn't have any issues with any of the plants at all. Amazing really.

In fact the only issue I've had with biotabs is either customs or the postman nicking them!

well that and the amount of bacteria used IN yur wateruing regimes and the soil will also help slow or speed up this process. I do it often since last winter and it works most of the time. but here are I dug out of a pot that was close if not slightly past a month old.

over winter, and after that ill have been udsing the Tabs for close to a year at that point but imho I have the fairly well dialed in now,Im just tinkering to see depletion rates and fading in the leaves is all Im looking at now over time outdoors and indoors. nice stuff. glad it helped :)

I’m thinking of using Biobizz light mix with biotabs starter pack in my Autopots next grow. I thought I might mix in some perlite but it seems like that’s not necessary, right? Will just the soil be ok? Even around the bottom and air domes? Or should I still add a bottom layer of clay pebbles?

I would mix at least 30% perlite with the soil, give the substrate more air that way. No need for the bottom layer of pebbles :2cents:.
