I'm growing 2 auto strains in a 2'x4' grow tent and was wondering whats the best method and lighting for me to produce a big enough yield I'm looking for. I'm hoping between the two at least half a pound to a pound.
I think a 1/2lb is asking a lot...are you a first time grower.I would guess yes if your asking about light and such? .... 50 watts per Square foot would be 400watts, better go 600, optimum temp's being 72 to 75... good air flow....proper venting.......also depends on the beans, couple super auto's, It could be possible....
Totally agree with GoAuto,
have been wondering about these new Super Autos myself, might pop 4 under my next new LED.
Cheers Go for that inspiration mate, think super autos area good way to go now?
I only know of one and thats under perfect conditions too and thats a bit under a pound per plant.Thats the Auto Pounder from Auto Seeds but there are some that from what i hear could give you that, may i ask what strain(s) your running?but Im not all that knowledgeable on the many many strains and what they can offer.
Ya I've been looking at a lot of auto strains lately, especially the heavier yielders like the auto pounder, I just want to make sure it comes from a good strain bank. And yea I was figuring on getting a 600 hps bulb just hoping it'll be sufficient enough.
I think as mentioned before getting half a pound in 25sqft is an easily realistic target from 2-3 super auto Maybe if you can scrog it you might even be looking at the magic pound if all goes well
I have to say though keep your sights low and when you do a slam dunk its a really nice surprise
Good luck grower
I would think if you aim for at least half a pound you are going to be bitterly disappointed, especially on your first grow. Just because people like Seymour Buds and JTanG produce monsters does not mean that you will.
Auto pounders wont grow you a pound, thats just sales bullshit DigitalShaaman only got 74.6 grammes from one plant and he is more experienced than you and had more space. I have been growing 4 of them in a DS90 and dont expect to get anything more than 30-40g per plant (if that) as i have had problems , when they start flowering things get a little haywire.
Also from Auto seeds is the Hijack which is their second biggest yeilder, this is a sativa dominant strain that takes up a lot less space and is covered in budsites and much easier to grow (even I can get it to grow). Check out the picture in this post
I would definitely grow the Hijack again and probably will as i could fit four in my tent very nicely, but I dont think Autopounders are for me, not without a lot more experrience as I have only been growing for a year and although my yeilds get better and bertter there is still a long way to go
my friend grew an Auto Pounder and got a bit less than half a pound done outdoors.I didnt believe it till I saw it with my own eyes man.just sayin.i agree with everything you said short of the auto pounder not being able to produce.Ive seen it,thats what made me wanna give it a try outdoors this run or next.
