I hope this goes here because it happened in my DWC. It was my first try at growing. Everything went fine until I put the seedlings into the DWC buckets and 24 hrs later and they were slimmed beyond repair. I went over everything and couldn't figure it out. I called my local hydroponics shop and went over everything with her. It was when I told her I had used small pea gravel to hold up my grow plugs. She said that she had never heard of using that grow medium before. Then it dawned on me when i read about using rocks the books didn't say anything about getting sterile rocks! I had gone to Lowes and bought a bag of pea gravel with the dirt still all over them and all of the bacteria that came with it. DON'T USE PEA GRAVEL FROM A STORE NO MATTER WHAT A BOOK SAYS!!! I lost a whole crop and my wife went with out medicine.
