Hello All,

Folks are finding it hard to accept what a Mephisto is capable of yielding. So I thought I should put a couple of techniques to get larger plants. Here is a list in order of importance.

1) Genetic has to be capable.
2) Run larger pots and give plants room all the way round.
3) Most of the pot can be weak soil. Stretchy roots = Stretchy plants
4) Keep temps high in the beginning. 84 degrees is nice
5) In the beginning keep your lights way up high
6) Have some kind of drinking system outside of your normal waters from day 15-35. My buddy uses a coir wicking system there are lots of other ways to do this.
7) Have good lights
8) When the time is right put the plant on a trellis that opens up the interior of the plant to light and press the lights down on the plants just above the distance where you see zero taco leaves.

I hope this helps someone get larger plants.

Alien vs Triangle and Sour Stomper, 35l pots, 10' between plants if needed , 10+ direct hours of the best light money can buy (the sun), and average daytime temp around 84F.

Thoughts on possible heights/size?

Trying something new, can't have plants around past July this summer.
"Normal" plants reached 7 feet last year.

So what do you think, 4-5 feet possible?

Yeah some autos will get large outdoors given the right environment as much sun as possible. AvT will hit 4’ maybe more. Pray for good weather

Good luck. Knowing what outdoor photo period plants are capable of I doubt that an autoflower could even come close. I know a guy who grows 7' photo period plants on 18' ceilings in 25 gallon pots, indoor. They yield 4lbs each. Outdoor, the skies the limit, literally. LOL

My guess is you'll get 1.5lbs each outdoor. Never seen this before so I don't know.

So ideally I think you'll be in for a disappointment but you will get top quality herb out of the process.

Qty is part of the issue also, although most would not consider it a problem.
My hands still ache from trimming the 4 monsters last year, been giving qt jars away like tic tacs. The problems that come with legal weed.....

I am going for smaller, faster, more variety this summer!

I have also seen some super non impressive plants in general. A 2ft mephisto plant is little.
I think some people get a little too fancy with it too.
You need good water. RO water preferably.
Good lights. No bullshit off amazon. Get some cobs or a quality hps. I don’t understand trying to save a little cash. You’re trying to grow top shelf medicine, sacrificing on your environment will translate In your yield and quality.
I have grown mephistos as tall as 7ft in dwc. And over 5ft tall in 2 gallon coco pots.
The grow I just completed was very simple,
Coco coir and advanced nutrients. All different strains, all huge. All over 3oz

Agree, don’t get cheap, high value plant and why grow if better is on the Street, you want the best, right?

Two Foot Plant is little, really? :crying:

Might wanna check out this Mephisto Sam’s Crack she is under 26”, so tad over 2’ mark, but will yield over 5x 3oz, easy - 565 grams estimate ....... Zero RO water, .... Gave her Rain Water .....

Zip / Zero / No Nutrients- LOS Grow so we just feed the Soil and let the plant decide what she wants to eat .....

Your plant looks good. Rain water and low and even no nutrients are a good way to go. I’m I’m favor of that. I’ll be interested to see what your Sams crack yields
