So I usually grow around 16 x 8ltr pots (easy2grow 8) in a 240 x 120 x 200 tent with 3 x 600. I am now looking to utilise the rest of the room and add 2 more 600w.

The room would be like this

600-----600

600-----600 3m long x 2m wide, but accounting for the res & door opening I'd lose 25% of the room
tank
600 door

Now I don't know whether to stick with 4 x 8ltr pots per 600w. They would have more room, and be happier, but its more aqua valves which is a pain in the arse. I'd target 4oz per plant this way. Any problems with a plant would cause minimal damage.

Or I could go bigger pots. 15ltr, or 22ltr. A bit of training early on and spread them a little. Not sure of how an average yield to pot size equates, as I usually run smaller pots. Anybody help here? If I was going to go less in this system, how would you run? 5 x 22ltr 5 x 30ltr? 10x 15ltr?

Lots of choices and decisions, always a fun time. Let me throw another one at you. Keep the 8 liter pots and get the larger 1Pot bases. That way you can try separating those pots possibly training for more horizontal growth. I can't imagine growing two large plants right next to each other in the easy2grow bases.

Also, if you want less problems / maintenance with the autovalves go organic. Then you can just use pure water in your reservoir. I'm at day 64 and have not taken out the valves once this grow. Usually using synthetic nutrients I take them out every reservoir change and clean them.

Hmmm, great idea. So you'd make that 4 plants per 600w using the single bases, totalling 20 plants? I can see the benefit of more natural growth in that space space. Yes, easy2grow is a PITA, as you pretty much lose out on the inside of the plants, and squeezing in to fix those pesky valves is a nightmare.

As for organic. Can you go a whole grow without feeding organic nutes?

I am with HemiSync on the organics. I just use water for my grows and don't ever worry about stuff like ph. The main things with water only runs are having a strong enough mix for the strain (some deff feed harder than others) and pot size based on length of time in veg. I know a 2 gal pot can make it with most strains through flower if running clones and flipping right from rooted. I think 4 gal pots should cover a month or so veg and flower pretty easy. Also, you can always add a top dressing.

I use a mix I make based on Clackamas coots recipe and it works really well. I would give the Bio Tabs a shot, but they haven't made it here yet I don't think. (US)

I have done entire Autopot grows with AN nutrients but the valves can get gunk in them when doing this. The organics I use is BioTabs, prepare your medium, I use coco/perlite, add the tabs and some plants, then every once in a while you give them a top dressing of Orgatrex. It couldn't be easier which is perfect for me because I travel a lot and I'm basically the laziest grower in the world.

Yea, I'm too lazy to make my own LOS, so paid the shipping to get the BioTabs starter kit to me, here in the U.S. Will be great if/when they get a distributor here in the states. :headbang:
