Right I've just purchased Biobizz light mix. The 20 litre bag. Now I have two 11 litre pots. Will the 20 litre bag be enough to fill those two pots up?? Sorry for such a noob question just need to know for peace of mind. Thanks.
Imho u cant add too much Perlite especially in the Biobizz Soil its not as Airy as Canna or Plagron. Or go to the next Petshop with reptiles and buy a Brick of Coco as filler 1 brick gives u round 10-11 l Coco so u can Mix it up. Cheapest solution in my eyes

I can get perlite pretty cheap from my local garden centre. Should I just buy it and use it as a filler? I want as much growing medium as possible in my 11ltr pots and the extra perlite will help with drainage?
Drainage is not needed at Soil. Thats when u runnin on Coco or Hempypods. If u water with drain all the time at Soil it destroys the Micro Bakterial Life of the Soil. Perlite will help the Roots to catch more Air what is good for them and has a positive benefit for the Plants Lifecycle(u know it from aero/hydro the more air at the roots the better they develop/yield).
Adding Perlite is always a good option the more the better. I would go 40 % Perlite 60% Soil then u almost run like on Coco.

40% perlite means less soil in the pot. Does this effect the growth or would it be better to have maybe just a 90:10 mix because there's already perlite in Biobizz Lite.
20-30% by volume is the general rule when adding aeration to your soil. Adding more won't hurt but it will lower your cation exchange which means you are going to have to feed more often. Of course, you will have to water more often as well with more aeration.
