I'm trying to learn more as I have gotten away from the bottle nutes. Have my first batch of soil ever aging but I'm still reading. How much biochar should be used per gallon? 5 to 10 percent is the range I've read. Any thoughts on whether it really makes a big difference?

@Dudeski Biochar - this subject is something I am very interested in , I started a thread on it which I will keep going . I make my own as I can get a wood that is perfect for making it . I believe more needs to be studied in the use in cannabis growing . I am led to believe 10 % is idea . I am trying something at the moment for my next grow ,

As you can see I am adding air , I am at 24 hours now . I am about to drain it . The thing is I will not be using it for at least 5 weeks . So what I will do is treat it like soil and keep the microbes alive --- Will it work -- buggered if I know . But as you have seen in my current grow , I added 10 % B.Char . The soil was made for autos , not photos , It is in how you inoculate it is I believe we need to know more about . The one at the moment I am very happy with , even tho it is spent now . Doe's it make a difference? . you be the judge . Delve deeper my friend .
