and like hippy says if you try to expose that lil guy to the light he will shoot up i leaf tuck young plants at least twice a day to expose the bud sites to the light![]()
Sir Noob speaks the truth about the tucking. They love it! Also sometimes good to pony tail for a day or two first, which gets those tiny little shoots interested. Then they will quickly grow long enough to tuck the big fan leaves properly behind them.
Anywhere on the plant where you see a leaf above / covering a shoot or bud site, tuck the leaf out of the way for a few days. I do this all over my plants, top to bottom, until those tiny shoots arrive at the same level as the rest!!![]()

Yeah i leaf tucked a few plants myself but i was always a bit sceptical because i saw a plant slowed down from leaf tucking because the big leaves couldnt photosynthesize very efficiently. The little shoots werent interested in growing at all ( also with direct light) , so they didnt growed well. She stayed short and her branches too
But i will try my luck with this little lady and show you my results![]()
I think maybe it's a matter of timing it right mate? If you try a pony tail first, then the plant will hopefully get big enough to handle the leaf tucking?
I am not an expert at all though!!Just what I try for myself.
Good luck buddy!![]()

depends on the strain my colorado cookies blue berry pheno was a bitch to train no mater how much i tried she just wudnt devlop till stretch set in but my livers and cheese the bottom stems nearly over took the main shootI normally do some tucking when i see that the branch is reaching for lightBut when i see 2 of the Gold Glue branches just pushed the leaves away and growed through , i ask myself if leaf tucking really makes the difference
I really dont know because i also got some great results from leaf tucking
.
I tried some tucking but the leaf is just too big/ the shoot is to small and i would break it for sureI will use a pipe cleaner to expose this shoot a bit more :smoking: I will make some pictures tommorow

you should have a look at scallys orange bud things a beast best looking one so far :smoking:Yeah it totally depends on the strain for sure. In my experience most mephisto strains respond really well to leaf tucking. So far my DP orange bud really can't be arsed though. No effect whatsoever so far!![]()
