Got some reading to do but I'm sure to catch up and follow along. Just scrolled up and it's nice to see @Eyes on Fire here, that's your man in the organic game.Hey Biotabs F69, I’m about to start my second grow and I plan on using the trifecta of growing great plants: Biotabs, Autopots, and Mephisto genetics…..Oh ya! Since this is my first time using tabs/autopots and only my second grow ever, I have a few questions….well maybe more than a few.I picked up your starter kit to start me off but, I plan on using your full line for this upcoming grow.
Plan is to use -
- Coco/Perlite 50/50 mix
- Use starter kit as manual states(Autopot directions)
- Cobshop.net Leds (thanks @BigSm0)
- RO water
My first grow I used kindsoil and only the bottom half of my soil was hot soil, I was able to germinate my seed in a starter cube that was placed directly in the soil with no transplanting(small hole at top of pot was made for cube). For this grow I planned on doing the same thing, place seed in starter cube, place starter cube in small hole in autopot, water and wait. My question here is that in step 2, it calls for a small planting hole and the addition of some Mycotrex, will this Mycotrex placed in the seedling hole cause the soil to be too hot for the seedling or would you think it will be ok? I am trying to avoid transplanting if that is possible.
Also, I experienced massive cal/mag deficiencies during my grow. I am expecting this to be an issue my second round as well. Do the tabs have cal/mag in them? Is it ok to supplement with cal/mag and which one if appropriate should I use?
I want to do everything I can to make this round more successful than the last and I will be ordering some of your Boom Boom spray and PK Booster. Do you have any usage guidelines for these products(ie freq of feed, qty per feed, when in life cycle)? Do I just mix the tea(powder?) with water? I see people mention brewing, do I need to do this with PK Booster? Are there any preferred methods of brewing? How is the PK Booster tea used with Autopots, top fed? Water reservoir?
I also have to say I was happy to receive a mug with my order, Thanks Biotabs.![]()
Thanks Bigsm0, I've been secretly spying EoF grow journals. Excited to start my next round and follow in the footsteps of afn's great members.Got some reading to do but I'm sure to catch up and follow along. Dear @Knawlidge,
Sweet you are giving the Biotabs a go!
The purpose of the Mycozihal spores is to grow big and strong, and connect to the plant roots. And pas nutrients So it is quite important that the powder is direct on the roots, for fast/best results.
The Calmag issues can be solved with our product the silicium flash, although I am sad to say currently it is only sold in Spain, but soon it will be available on our site aswel.
The Boom Boom spray you can use during the veg state, when you see the first pistils appear stop spraying.
You can start spraying when the plants have 4/6 leaves.
The brewing of the compost tea sounds harder then it is, Indeed just mix the powder (Bacteria's 15 grams) per liter of water and some orgatrex/ molasses(feeding bacteria) an air pump. And let it brew for 24/36 hours.
When it is ready it is best to top feed it, you can start using the PK tea after the 2 week of flowering and repeat every week,
Hope you have a nice cup of coffee/ tea
Green greeting!
