first of all I want to say that my BlackStar 240uv is performing beautifully in a 3.5 x 2.5 closet with 1 Afghan Kush but I do have a question about the effects of the light leak from the LED when it is supposed to be off.

I'm wondering if my led not turning off completely during the 12 hour dark cycle is making the buds closest to the light not finish maturing. Look at the 2 pics. Notice all white hairs on top pic (cola) and a lot of Orange on the bottom pic (branch).
All the branches are maturing faster.
I realise that this could just be the way it naturally grows but it seems like the led may be affecting the maturity.

hey everyone I have a black star chrome 405 and I was wondering how many autos can I do under there. I was thinking of doing 2 or 3 in hydro. What do you guys think?

had my blackstar 240 lost half the panel horizontally i took it apart checked with both power supplies and the both PS are working just not that half of the panel..prob a Led that died and took the rest with him..talked to Vic and as its outta warranty i can get a discount on a refurb..will see if i do that weighin out the costs of sending it back paying for reshipment and refurb price may try another type of panel..still have the 270 chrome working

I got the 270chrome and I can do 3 in soil no problem so I assume u should be able to do 4-6 under that beast

Yeah man you can mix it up,most lights now are mixed/full spectrum so u will be getting that effect I would move your plants about so they get a fare share of the different spectrums.

Just received my 100W Lighthouse Hydro BlackStar LED panel and thought I'd do the right thing and post a quick pic comparason between what the gotham_products ebay stores pics show and what I got. It would appear they have updated them from a foil backing of the diodes like my 50W'er to the white hard backing like on the 135W and up. With the 135W running 3 fans and the 100W running one, it makes me think they are not far apart in strength, time will tell.. she BRIGHT though, I will say that!
