Lighting BlackStar The Manual

Called this morning waiting for a call back.....

There is probably a mark on my file as last time, 3 months ago, I was told to provide a tracking # of the return and a new one would be sent out. They obviously waited it took 10 days instead of 3.

Being Friday if he doesnt call today we wait till monday.....

I am going to go review the site rules on how far I can go to voice my displeasure with the US distributor, you know where Batman lives....hint

:ama:

You can voice your displeasure all you want mate, you have used the product and dealt with there customer services so its your honest experience :Sharing One: if you can edit your review you could add it there if you wanted,of you can't edit it you could pm me your comments and ill paste it in for you.

Thanks Red, left another message, strange it went to voicemail during business hours. Message said they usually call back with in an hour......Guess he didn't get the one I left earlier with an actual person.

:peace:

I have 8 bs240s... one by one there all deing just after the poor 1 year warranty. And half the light goes out and they would need to be mailed in. IMO they are not worth the $$$. 3 out of 8 are broke now. 1 year 6 months with only 1 year of actual use.

They are sending a new board and power supply Monday. Supposedly redesigned, meh

:peace:

They already sent me a new power supply... not the problem.. Whats the board? not that it matters when there all dead I'll be buying a GNs.

the other side of the coin...i have four, two have been running 20/4 seven day's a week since 2011:dunno: sorry to hear about all the trouble's you folk's are having.:Sharing One:

Knock on wood I'm right at the year and half mark on both my chrome and 240 blackstar both are ok for now... :crossing fingers : the wondefull thing with the GN is there modular design so even out of warranty you'd just need the replacement part sent to you and can install yourself... So those gn's and modular lights have a lot of life in them ;)

Well, I called up Gotham and talked to Victor. Looks like they have been having a problem with the old 240w uv units. If it has a metallic reflective board then it's one of the bad ones. If it has a white reflective board it's one of the better ones.

I have the metallic reflector 240uv and haven't had any problems knock on wood! But now I'll have to keep my eye on it!
Is there any chance of malfunction to the point that a fire is possible?
