Blown didoes Marshydro 300w LED

Hey bud I moved this thread to the Mars Hydro forum since it's a Mars Hydro specific question. I noticed you created a thread in here already asking for help with it; please try not to create multiple threads about the same thing, as it spreads the responses more thin and makes it a bit more difficult to help pinpoint an answer :d5: Best of luck to you brother, hopefully @MarshydroTina will be able to explain what they can do for you!

Nice one thank you

Unfortuanately you and anyone else to ever rin a mars or mars 2 has or is going to experience this. It just is what it is when dealing with them.

Good thing is they will send replacement diodes very fast and is pretty simple to change them yourself. Saves the down time of sending the panel in.....

Heres a link to the replacement....

My honest suggestion is scrap the light and itilize the fixture and drivers for a very simple DIY... youll never go back good sir..

Thanks A-T, I'm just watching that video on Slaters thread.

I'm really confused. If anyone could explain this to me, I'd be very grateful. Marshydro got back to me and said something about only replacing the black coloured diodes. Apparently, the other diodes are "sulfuration LED's".....what? The exact same chips are blown on both lights.

They said the black diodes are easily replaced and will cost £10 shipping, but if I want to repair the "sulfuration LED's" then I need to replace all 60 LED's and this will cost £30.

Marshydro suggest that I must burn sulphur in the tent to disinfect plants or it's the plant food I use. Really? I use Calmag, Flora Gro, micro and bloom. Here's another couple of pics. Can anyone tell me if the four blown LED's can be replaced, even the ones that appear totally burnt out, which must be the "sulfurated" ones. TBH, I haven't a clue. I wonder if it might be easier to figure out what colour diodes I need and buy them on ebay.

Here's the email I received

Dear Cat,

Hope you are fine. After we checked the problem of your led grow light. The 2 lights has been sulfuration by the sulfur. No offense. But you must burn the sulful under the light to disinfect your plants right? Or there has sulfur in your nutrition.

As you know the electric can not touch the sulfur and the light should be corrison by sulfur. So the solution should be below.

1. We can ship you the burned leds (black leds) and you just need pay us 10USD shipping fee. But the sulfuraration leds can not solve.
2.If you also wanna solve the sulfuration leds. Your light need replace all the 60led. Maybe you need pay at least 30 USD for the leds.
Please let me know your idea and wait for your kind response.

I don't no what the hell there talking about this sulpher thing never heard anything like this before. If you no how to desolder and resolder the new diodes that could be a possible solution but to replace all 60 diodes is just crazy and paying for shipping and thirty bucks for the diodes would not be worth the trouble and time involved.I would suggest just using them the way they are and hopefully you will not have more diodes burn out. These are cheap lights and you get what you pay for so i would consider shopping for a better light from a reliable led company in the future.

So looks like mars led is not asking but telling you what you do and dont do in your tent.

See why i said my honest opinion is scrap the crap and make something halfway worth using out of it....

People think they are getting a deal on led by buying a mars light. Thats just not the case anymore. The cheap led corner of the market they used to claim has been taken by cheap diy cob builds. Do your reasearch and build yourself a light if your low on cash. Northern grow lights is a great place to get your components and awesome people to work with.

If ypu have a little cash to spend and want a 5 year (no questions asked) warranty with state of the art tech and the best customer service in the biz look at amare
