Afternoon all, today is the start of week 4 for my BAM so she had a fresh res change this morning. Although the EC had dropped to 0.5 from 0.6 I set the new res to 0.6 again. This is just to assure she isn't over fed at all, leaves are still darker at the tips and slightly droopy. If the EC drops again I will raise it to 0.7. PH 5.7-5.8.
Since I have a pump spare during these early stages I'm now able to bubble water for 24 hours in advance of a res change using my water butt, it holds 100L. Thought I'd snap a couple pics just to illustrate what I've been up to. In the future with a bigger set up I may use this tank to hold nutrients and keep it bubbling for top ups, could come in handy.
Some more pics, and yes she is sat in a mop bucket for the duration of the res change, it's filled with the nutes from her last res just to keep those roots moist. Roots still coming on strong, my best hydro plant yet woohoo! She's much bigger (albeit more stretched) than my last girl at the same age, gives me high hopes for her end result.

Had a little shuffle round in my tent, figured I could make better use of my available light. The two Dragon babies are on one side of the tent under the newer MS006, running 4 modules. The BAM is on the other side with my other MS0006 on full power (no dimmer switch). Since I only had the 2 rope ratchets I placed a small cabinet from my bedroom into the tent to keep her 23" away from the LED. I'll lower the plant as she grows rather than raise the light with this girl. She's hitting about an inch every day and she's not even stretching yet..good times.

Thanks bro, yeah my first attempt with BAM filled my 80x80 tent and this one is bigger at the same age..should have my new tent set up in the next couple weeks so space won't be an issue soon

Afternoon all, back with an update. Last night I went to check on my girls, her res had dropped from 0.6 to 0.5 for the third time now so I upped it to 0.7. I'm really trying to give her exactly what she wants by reading her - the more I do this the more I love it, hydro is definitely the route for me. Today her res is still at 0.7 so she's happy for now. I forgot to list what went into the last res on Thursday so here it is:
7.5ml Rhizotonic
8ml Cal Mag
3ml Silicon
EC up to 0.6 (now at 0.7) with Canna Vega A+B
PH 5.7
Also, I've had to have a fiddle with my pumps. Right now there is one 30lpm pump attached to a 20cm flat disc air stone in the BAM bucket. To assure I don't have roots breaking off (a common problem I've had using powerful pumps/diffusers) I made a small bend in the air tube to reduce water movement whilst keeping a good amount of bubbles. Once the roots are bigger I can unleash the full power but this is something I'm going to have to monitor and learn as I go on my hydro journey.
