Hey all! This is my first grow here on AFN, second in this cab. Looking forward to sharing along the way. I'm still very new, so let's see where this goes...

More to come soon...

My Cab

So here's my cab; not very big, but I trust it can get the job done. Measurements are 1' x 3' x 3'. Four 55W CFLs (2x2700K, 2x5000K) producing 4800 lumens/sq ft on a 19/6 timer. Ventilation is an active exhaust, passive intake powered by a PC fan that moves 51 CFM. Super quiet too @ 16 dB. There's a thermometer-baromenter in there as well. Oh and I hang Panda film between the doors and cabinet itself to help prevent light leaks. Odor control includes wall febreeze plug-in, an air purifier, and a peace lilly.

Growing three at a time as pictured. Originally planned to plant a new one every month for a perpetual, albeit small, harvest. However, decided to stick with 3 at once after all.

Heres the pics...

2nd Week Update

Internet was down the first two weeks. I didn't really think to take pics until it was up and running again. Anywho, I have 3 Short Stuff Blue Himalayan Diesel Reg seeds going right now. Planted them 2 weeks again, and here are the update pics. Not much to show, but looks like a healthy start so hopefully it gets a bit more entertaining in the following weeks for you all.

I'll be identifying each by the colored sword/toothpick in its pot from here on out. Blue, Green, and Yellow, respectively:

Oh yeah, forgot to mention medium and nutes....Miracle Grow Organic potting soil (i know), General Hydroponics FloraNova System, and molasses during flowering.

Cool. :pop:
Good Vibe points added for the Peace Lilly Odor Control.
What kind of stuff is that filling your pots? :smokebuds:

Suspicious indeed, lol. Previously I grew in a top soil, perlite, vemiculite, peat moss mixture. The night I went out for my medium however, they were low on supplies. I already had sprouts going at home so I went with plan C, the miracle gro. Who knows, maaayyyybbbeee those good vibes from the peace lilly will transfer over, and it'll all be good! Time will tell, haha...

Looks like a interesting grow! I always like to see stealth cabinet grows!
Good luck!
What were you growing in the first try?
and how much yield did you get from that small space?

Looks like all three are girls! Hopeful thinking for green to be honest, but a proud poppa encourages, right? lol

'ppreciate it!
My first try in this cabinet was a wash... literally. I was a bit rusty and overwatered the plants, so I'm not sure what to expect out of this one. My previous cab was 3 x 2.5 x 1.5 with a few less watts of CFLs. That was a 3 per growcab as well, with an average dry weight of 1.25 oz per plant. That was almost 3 years ago though, so I'm just as curious to see how things turn out. Here's hopin'...

Week 3 Update

It's week 3 ladies and gents, and we have 3 confirmed sisters!!! I should've taken some macros, but it'll be evident soon :D. The first two still appear pretty healthy.

-Blue is my mini-tree, the tallest and the broadest of the three. She's the frontrunner at this moment for most likely producer, even though it's too early to call.

-Yellow has a stereotypical indica profile. Short and wide, with tight internodes. I guess I'll put her up for most likely to relieve pain, if her chemical profile matches.

-My third girl, Green, I'd appreciate a little feedback on. So far she's tall, but not stretching, and "linky". Also, as you can see her bottom leaves are yellowing already. Here's the thing though, she's under the same light and conditions with the same diet as the other two. Does she just have a bigger appetite than the other two, as I'm assuming it's a nutrient difficency?

P.S. Something I forgot to mention earlier in my growing details. I plan to harvest the girls at three different times. The 1st at approx 25% amber trichomes, the 2nd at roughly amber 50% trichomes, and the third until it's all amber and leaves all yellowed, and shriveled. I've previously only harvested @ the 50% mark. I've heard there's a difference, and would like to see for myself. Along the way, judging if I'm able to even tell the difference, and/or if I have a preference.
I'm gonna do so regardless, just for my own experience. I would be interested in hearing others experiences in regards to harvesting time, high-type, and noticeable difference if there was one.
