Thanks, I appreciate it. I'll look forward to checking in on your grow as well. Wishing you the best as well

Week 4 Update

Hey all!
Thanks to a few fellow kind-hearted AFN members, I found out the reasoning Green's bottom leaves are yellowing was due to pH imbalance, too acidic. Good thing an answer came along because as you'll see in the following pics, the bottom leaves of the other two are beginning to yellow as well. To help counter that I flushed with tap water, and it seems to have help balance things out.

With a better balance, I fed the girls a half dose of grow nutes. If a pH imbalance becomes evident once more, I'll just switch to water and let the MiracleGro nutes provide what they can. Can't wait til the next grow already to switch to a much better soil option. For now though, the focus is doing the best I can with the situation at hand... and with that being said, here they are. I added overhead shots this time to add a diff perspective.

look like they are doing well with all things considered. On your next grow you might want to add more soil to the pots so they get better air circulation towards the bottom.

High Time for Another Update. Week 5 Has Come to an End

So week 5 has come and gone. Half way through the journey, if not a tad further. I've already learned quite a bit from sharing here already, with a list of improvements to incorporated next grow: Better and more soil, diff nutes, pH balancing along the way, lose the pots, better circulation, and making the light adjustable to diff heights instead of stacking the plants on DVDs haha. With still a half way to go, I'm looking forward to other tips along the way...all helping in my goal of losing the middle man for kinder, cleaner, and more economical bud:D Enough of my sap story, on to the updates...

So Green is now stable!! Yayyy! Blue on the other hand, needs a bit of work. SO, this time they're all tested, all balanced and will continue to be so **fingers crossed**.

Yellow looks good, and has the whole time. With her short stature, tight internodes, apparent extreme hardiness, development thus far, I wouldn't mind using her genetics. Let me focus first on perfecting the art of growing before I tackle breeding though. A journey of a thousand miles starts with a step, right?

Enough pot philosophy, here's some pics. Included a close-up of the main bud to give an idea of their development thus far. I think it's pretty safe to say Green pH imbalance shocked her :-/

End of Week 6, Fellas and Chicks!

- The girls are one week closer to completion, which the breeder estimated would be 8-10 wks. Some closer than others.

- All the girls have a bit more shimmer to them. Blue and Green have plumped considerably, while Yellow looks (and was) a bit dehydrated. That problem has been solved though, and admittedly from here on out and next go around, I need to monitor more frequently to catch these things.

- Also of note is the yellowing of the leaves; more note worthy are Blue and Green. Blue is the most yellow, but her pH is right at 6.5. Given she's almost the most plump and has the cloudiest trichomes of the three, I assume she's just letting me know harvest is near and she has a relatively faster flowering time. Similar situation with Green, although her pH was just under 6. Yellow on the otherhand, looks like she'll take a little longer to mature, but that's fine by me. A few of her tips are yellow, which I think is a sign of build-up.

- Based on my assumptions and assessments, I flushed the girls. Reason being Blue is near harvest and Yellow has a build-up. Green was just watered as normal with a bit of molasses. No nutes used this time around though.

- Well, I've talked enough by now, here's the visuals:

Disregard what I mentioned about harvest times in the earlier post today. Thanks to the wonderful world of the internet, I was able to review my first grow years ago, which was a sucessful auto grow and realized, the girls still have a bit of time left...at least 2 wks for Blue, I'd assume. I may go back and feed Green and Blue with bloom nutes later on today. Leaving Yellow as is due to the signs of build-up though.

Burn, baby Burn.... Nute Burn Inferno :-/

A water-only diet for Yellow helped, I'm sure..... BUT check on her and there were more than just yellow tips. This time, nute burn as well. Glad I checked in on her. Flushed her with 3x pot size, so I'm sure she's fine now.
I've been putting these girls through heck with my newbie skills (or lack of). Live and learn though. If we make progress on the next go, I guess it's all worth it.

A little better each time equals a lot better over time.

Looking good dude other than the yellowing. Miracle Grow is a pain in the ass in my opinion:hot: Hoping its nothing but smooth sailing left for you from here on out dude

Lucky Week 7 updates

Why so lucky you ask? Simply because I'm alive and have been waking up to the subtle aroma of these young ladies for the past week...so I turned up the air purifier. Now scents gone and today's guests were none the wiser. Stealth :D

As far as the girls themselves go, harvest is on the horizon. No amber trichomes yet, so we've got some time still. Obviously a bit of weight has been put on however, and the leaves are yellowing and beginning to shrivel. I'm guessing still another week or two, which fits in the 8-10 wks stated by the breeder.

Bloom nutes are no longer in use. Just water and molasses from here on out. Once about 50% trichomes are reached I'll flush them and place them in total darkness for 48-72 hours prior to harvesting.

I'm looking forward to the near future, but for now enjoying the present. So without further adieu, here are the girls as of late:
