Hi True, 6.5 is fine for soil pH and your plan to water with pH 7.2 initially is a good one. Just check your soil again an hour or two after watering to see how you are doing. Also try to check pH with about the same soil moisture level each time as this will impact the reading you get

Ive seen a difference in PH straight away.
Seems my Plant Magic soil holds a lower ph than the Plagron light mix. Although both soils have been fed the same.
