So here it goes....This is my first documented grow journal with my new grow box. The cabinet is 35"x24"x29" of grow area. I have a 4" HV fan pulling through a 12" carbon filter. I am running a 300w Mars Hydro old style LED. There is 2 4" PC fans for air movement across the girls. The front door is on magnetic locks and is light tight. This is as stealthy as I could get it and still keep things neat. I have completed a grow of 3 Nirvana Blue Mystic girls in this box but decided to do a journal for this next group of girls.

I have so far 1 Auto Seeds Ultra Lemon Haze and 1 Bomb Seeds Cherry Bomb that have been above ground since March 19th. These are in straight out of the bag Happy Frog soil. I will admit this soil seems a little HOT and I know it might be from what I learned on my first BM's. I thought I would give it another run to compare results. These 2 girls had pre flowers at day 17 and day 18. The issue at hand is that nitrogen is a bit high and they are showing it with dark(almost black)green leaves and I have snipped a couple off each plant that were showing some burn. I have flushed them both very heavily and am going to be a little more reserved on watering them as I move forward. I am LST'ing the ULH. These both are in cut in half 2 little bottles. The next 2 girls are 1 Auto Seeds Pink Grapefruit and 1 Nirvana Blue Mystic. Both in straight Happy Frog and have been above ground since April 5th. The last 2 seeds are another Ultra Lemon Haze and 1 more Cherry bomb. They were sprouted yesterday and awaiting them to pop above the soil. They are both in 50/50 Perlite and Happy Frog, hoping to cut down on the Nitrogen issue.

As of right now everthing is on a 24 hr light schedule. maybe in another week once the bigger girls are further into flower I will go to 20/4.

Welcome to AFN! I loving your grow box. I an also using Technafloras RFS and a Mars Hydro light. Keep us posted. :Cool bud:

Thanks jackmc! The box started out as an unfinished oak 36" kitchen sink base cabinet that I added a top to and stained to match the rest of the furniture in my bedroom.

Not a whole lot happening yet of course. The new Ultra Lemon Haze and Cherry Bomb popped up during the night so we will call today Day 1 for them. Now it's just a race to the death! I think I am really going to hate that I used the straight Happy Frog on the 2 that are a week old and the two older plants I have. It just seems very HOT and I know I am going to be fighting the high nitrogen in it. I am very eager to see how the two baby girls do in the 50/50 mix.

Just a quick update. The Cherry Bomb and Ultra Lemon Haze are on Day 3 and the Blue Mystic and Pink Grapefruit are on Day 10. I am really digging my new Mar Hydro 300w old style LED. There is much much less heat in the grow cabinet, less wires hanging around too. I am going to let the 2 older girls get a little dryer than I have in the past. This Happy Frog just seems really HOT soil and I am hoping that keeping them a little dryer will help prevent the nitrogen burn that I have fought in the past.

Day 7 and Day 14
____________________________________

I gave all 4 of these sexy girls a 1/2 strength dose of Technaflora's Root 66 last night. The Pink Grapefruit and Blue Mystic are sitting in straight Happy Frog which I am finding a little hot. I am watching the amount of water I am giving them trying to control the clawing I had in past grows so far it seems to be working. The younger Cherry Bomb and Ultra Lemon Haze are in a much lighter 50/50 and I felt it was time to give them a little boost. The Cherry Bomb is off to a great start at 1 week old. The Ultra Lemon Haze is really taking her time and is half the size of the Cherry Bomb. Hopefully she will catch up in the next week or so. Now I do have 1 older Cherry Bomb and 1 ULH that are 1 month old as well and of those 2 plants the ULH is the bigger of the two.

I have my little 2L soda bottle CO2 generator going again. I don't know how much it helps if any but it surly can't hurt and all it takes is a little sugar and yeast and it runs for a week before needing to make a new batch.

I would think that the Blue Mystic and Pink Grapefruit will show some pre flowers here in the next few day....looking forward to it!

I don't know about other cannabis growing enthusiasts but on the days that I am at home I watch my girls like a hawk watches a rabbit. I give them all a good looking over every morning. So tonight when I was checking soil moisture I was looking over my Short Stuff Seeds Pink Grapefruit, she is so short and sexy......what do I see but a couple little pistol poking out! She is on Day 15, her internode length is so short I almost wish she would stretch. But that's fine she can make up for it with a massive cola! Funny how her pistols went BANG during the course of the day.

Also just because I thought it was cool I am posting up a neat picture of my Blue Mystic roots. It is a close up and shows the super fine root hairs against the clear plastic 2L soda bottle she is in. These are what really reaches into the soil and draws water and nutes into the plant. They are what gets damaged when you transplant a plant and causes stress to the plant.

:Hello HB

I grew some of the Pink Grapefuit last summer as a test grow. They came out awesome. The got kinda big, so keeping them under the low light might be making the difference. I had mine in a greenhouse.

Just saying, and good luck on yer grow. I will try to make it back and see how this goes.

:coffee2:

Day 10 Ultra Lemon Haze/Cherry Bomb Day 17 Blue Mystic/Pink Grapefruit

The Ultra Lemon Haze and Cherry Bomb are on Day 10. The Cherry Bomb has nearly doubled in size in the matter of 3 days. The Ultra Lemon Haze is just being a very lazy grower. She continues to lag behind the Cherry Bomb. I will say she seems to have picked up the pace over the last 2 days but I really hope she finds her leg and gets growing soon. They both will be a feeding of Root 66 on their next watering.

The Blue Mystic and Pink Grapefruit are on Day 17. The Pink Grape fruit is a couple of days into flowering and has about doubled in height. She has 4 branches that are rapidly growing and are close to the same height as the main stem. If she continues she should have a few nice colas ....can't wait. The Blue Mystic has few very nice fan leafs and is starting to gain some height. I most likely will start a little LST on her this afternoon by bending over her main stem. Both the Blue Mystic and Pink Grapefruit will receive a feeding of Technaflora's BC Grow on their next watering. Still waiting for the Blue Mystic to show her pre flowers. I am eager to see how much weight I can pull of the Blue Mystic in her little 2L pot.

Cherry Bomb and Ultra lemon Haze Day 13/ Blue Mystic and Pink Grapefruit Day 20

Things are rocking in the grow cabinet. The Cherry Bomb is growing nicely. The little Ultra Lemon Haze is still struggling for some reason and doesn't have the best coloring. On her next watering I am going to hit her with some BC Boost or BC Grow and see how she responds. Now the Blue Mystic received a feeding the other day and as of this morning I see a couple light burn marks on a couple of leaves. So until she grows a bit more and shows some signs of waiting something she will just get water only. She is still super dark green. I am bending her over will some LST and she is responding to it nicely. No pre flowers yet. The Pink Grapefruit is becoming a little beast! Over the last 2 days she has gained 1 inch in height(2.5cm) each day. So she will start to get tied down later today as well.
