Grow Room Blue Mystic/Ultra Lemon Haze/Pink Grapefruit/Cherry Bomb LED's

Nice grow bunz, you should get lots of nice buds from these girls.I run 24/0 lights on all my autos.I tried 20/4 and 18/6 with no noticeable difference.I know you used FFOF in the past. Are you happy with the happy frog up to this point.I used FFOF on my last grow.I had a gnat problem.I,m going to try Dr. earth organic on my next grow.Peace.

robbio,

Thanks..... I don't know why I thought I had FFOF it was my mistake. I have been using Happy Frog the whole time. So it has seemed a little HOT for me and my methods. I have tried to calm it down by being real easy with waterings on the couple of plants( Blue Mystic and Ultra Lemon Haze) that are planted in it straight out of the bag.

I also have 1 older Cherry Bomb and 1 older Ultra Lemon Haze that are on Day 37. I am not really posting up pictures of them as they were giving me problems and were a lot older already when I started this grow log. I started them out in straight Happy Frog and around day 12'ish they started clawing really bad! Super dark leaves so I knew the Happy Frog was HOT. They were an experiment and I was trying to see the yield I could get from a very small pot which was around 1L in size(2L soda bottle cut in half). Once the claw really got bad and they lost most of their larger fan leaves I mixed up a batch of Happy Frog and Perlite 50/50 and transplanted them into 1 gallon pots. They have recovered well. The Cherry Bomb is in full flowering. She is small at around 9" tall due to the excess nitrogen and the stress from being transplanted. But she is really filling out in flower. Looking forward to a nice yield considering she problems and size. The Ultra Lemon Haze is still stretching a got amount and hasn't really starting flowing yet.

No matter the good or bad we need to take everything as a learning experience. I learned that straight Happy Frog for me at least is HOT. I might have gone a little to far and made it a little to light with mixing it 50/50 with Perlite. One my next plants I will try around 75% Happy Frog 25% Perlite(I add a little Lime as well).

I have tried mixing 1 part FFLW to 3 parts FFOF, but i had problems with fungus gnats. The grow went OK i had some PH issues but i got them to the end with no other problems. The light warrior is a good germination choice. The light warrior has a good deal of perlite in it.I think it is a good choice to cut very hot soil. This is my humble opinion.I think the dolomite lime may fix the PH issue, with the fox farm OF.Peace.

Great to have the new AFN back! Here is an update.

I have been paining over the limited height of my cabinet so last week I took the top off and added 12 inches to the top. This took my total inside height from 29" to 41"! It's amazing what a little more height does. First I can let the girls stretch a little more without worrying about their height as much. Second..it helps keep the floor of the cabinet a little cooler as the heat given off my the LED is higher up. Now that I have a little extra room I may see about moving the HV fan from the floor and hang it from the top. I will still have to run a vent duct to the floor but it will still give me a bit more room on the floor if I do.

The Blue Mystic and Pink Grapefruit are both on Day 31. The Grapefruit is stretching like mad still, about 1 inch a day. I decided to just let her go without LST'ing her. I am really digging the bud sites she has and am looking forward to her filling out. The Blue Mystic has shown a couple random pre flowers but is not even close to flowering yet..very odd. The other two of them I grew hit pre flower hard on days 17 and 20 if I remember right. But on the up side she is stretching pretty well to and the plant in general smells like berries even thou she is not in flower yet.

The Cherry Bomb is on Day 24 and just has started her stretch. She looks great and not much more to tell about her. I pulled the Ultra Lemon Haze that was her same age. It was growing at a painfully slow rate. I checked soil Ph and it was fine. I had given her a shot of Root 66 and still no change. So I pulled her and her root system was very small so she was just an oddball and I replaced her with another Cherry Bomb seed.

Not much happening here....just a little growing! The Pink Grapefruit is quickly becoming my favorite plant in the grow. She has all but stopped her stretch(Day 38). She has stopped at about 22" tall. I move the plants around a bit so I gave her a carbon fiber stake for support. Over the last couple of days she has started to turn her energy to growing buds. What she has so far are taking on a very nice Grapefruit scent!!! LOVE IT!!! This one Pink Grapefruit seed was a freebie from an Attitude Seeds order and I wish I had more of them. Due to her size and how she has grown so far I could get 5 of them in my cabinet at once and that would be awesome so I am going to order up a pack this week. Really looking forward to see how she fills in with flowers. The Nirvana Blue Mystic is just playing hard to get. We had some nice pistols form and I though she was hitting pre flower. After a week those few pistols have turned orange and nothing new has formed. She is still gaining height and branches are going real nice but she has all but stopped any signs of flowering. I have taken her out of the cabinet the last two days and stuck her in a dark closet for 12 hrs per day to see if that will trigger her to get going. I am very disappointed with my experience with the 4 Blue Mystics I have grown. All 4 have been very different in how they grow and now this one wants to be a photo. I just don't have a set up to deal with her if thats the case.

My Cherry Bomb is kicking butt. I feel real good about her being in the 2L pot. She only has a couple of lower branches but I feel her main stem is going to turn into 1 giant cola because I have 1 older Cherry Bomb that is around Day 53 and that is what she did. I am not getting any sort of Cherry smell off of either of them but the buds are real tight and that is good enough for me.

Pictures are of the Pink grapefruit(day 38) and Cherry Bomb(day 31)

Its been long time and an update is long overdue. I chopped the Pink Grapefruit last Friday night. It was 10 weeks/70 days from sprout. She had a 10 day flush and I dried out her soil the last two days before the shop. She is without question the stickiest plant I have ever grown and has a great grapefruit smell. I am doing the paper bag dry method. as chopped she was 120 grams. I would like to think after drying I should be right at 1 oz final weight. Not bad for a litle 1 gallon pot. I have a couple more Ultra lemon Haze girls already started in 3 gallon pots that are 18 days old but once they finish I really want to run a couple more Pink Grapefruits.

Next up is the little sexy Cherry Bomb bitch. She is in a cut off 2L soda bottle. Her main cola is very nice and very firm. She has a very rich cherry medicine to her. I grew out a small Cherry Bomb that I chopped 2 or 3 weeks ago that didn't smell anything like this plant. Again going by the yield of this plant I would love to do a 2L SOG with the Cherry Bombs. She had a flush the other night and most likely will get the chop this weekend. I might get 10grams dried off her.

With every grow I am learning more and more. I have another 300w Mars Hydro old model LED on it's way and should be here tomorrow to add to the cabinet. I have some pretty high goals for the next 2 Ultra Lemons. They will be the last plants I grow with Happy Frog soil and need to start looking at something else for soil.

I chopped the little 1L Cherry Bomb a few days ago. Dried in a brown paper bag trimmed and in jars she was 20grams! I am happy with that. She has a great smell to her in the jars and I will plan on a SOG grow of them in the future.

I was soooo excited to read this until you cut the top off the cabinet (my available space is 50"long X18" deep X34"high)
I suppose my dreams of led winter action are done due to height limitations. :(

I so want to try cherry bomb auto!!
