Bottom water/feeding

Im growing tlo in [HASHTAG]#5[/HASHTAG] smartpot. I have the her in a large shallow tote. I mix in water mammoth p seagreen and rootamentary and pour it into tote. It seems there some that didnt get wicked in. My question is should i only water from bottom and feed from top ? Or is it cool to do it all bottom? Im going rinse the tote and catch the water with the micros and whatever else and mix it into water again. Good idea or no.

Just my thoughts... adding microbes should be done where microbes live. In the soil. Adding nutes that need to be broken down by microbes, should follow the microbes path. I run bottom watering in my peppers, water goes in the tank, feed and microbes down thru the soil. Canna I run different, everything goes down thru the soil.

I was always curious about bottom watering myself. But I think you have the right idea — best for feeds to go DOWN into your soil.
