Ok folks let me start by saying im not after anything I just need to vent talk get it off my chest kind of thingy
Ok 5 year ago I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis in my lower back (after a work injury) any way the doc told I was going to suffer with chronic pain(he wasn't wrong)
jumping forward to today I got the letter I was dreading next week I go for an operation on my L2/L3 disk and as the title says im bricking it i really hate hospitals
Its not a major life threatening op (more life style for me )and to cut a long story short they are saying there could be complications I suffer from angina as well plus there is a very small chance I could end up in a wheelchair (that's my worst fear)from nerve damage I know its just a small chance but with my luck who knows i just want to say HIDE ME PLEASE lol
that feels better i got that off me chest
thanks folks

You know, as a fellow member of the damaged back club.....I've had every treatment known to "modern" medicine. I wish I'd never had the surgery. It never really fixed anything. I've been treated in recent years by a group call Spine and Pain Management. Their goal is to find the least invasive treatment that will work for you. I've had an IDET ( Intradiscal Electro Therapy ) and that worked wonders! They insert a wire into the disc then they heat the wire, It shrinks the disc. Its day surgery, no cutting you open. I was partially sedated, and while lying on the table, I knew when the applied the heat as the pain in my leg was suddenly GONE! In a blink. It was the first true relief I'd had in 22 years. My point is, therapy are alternatives to surgery. Do some research, before just letting some ($$$$$$$$$$$$$) surgeon hack away on you!
