Big Kudos to you my friend, they look so lush and healthy,... I see a little N-tox, dark color/clawing, as you know I'm sure, so switching over to full bloom was wise, maybe even sooner! I understand, the plants can absorb and store most all the N they'll need well before blooming, and with those roots sucking stuff up, I think they tanked up early ,... About the root volume, let's ask brudda Grey Bear, he'd know for sure,..(have you seem the absolute monster auto's he grows? we're talking stooopid big, crazy-talk dry weight here,...).... the roots look textbook healthy bro', you will disgust many peep's far more experienced than you with those beauties! hell, I'm disgusted, and with the insane branching you got as well- LOL! I'll give GB a ring here, and we'll see what he says,... ...meantime, have another heaping side o' for spectacular results!

All looks good, rinse the brown and green crap off the roots the best you can , by either dunking it in clean water or rinsing them under the tap. You won't get them clean, you just want don't want too much accumulating. It is almost always algae and dead algae, and not rootrot. But left to build up can smoother your roots and compete for nutrients which can then lead to disease.
The roots will begin to compress in that container, it won't become an issue unless it becomes so packed that the roots cannot receive nutrients.
That becomes harder as the root mass compresses, you might make it too the end before that happens, but a slightly bigger container will give you a bit more wiggle room.

Thanks GB. I'll rinse the roots tomorrow 1st thing. I'm hitting the hardware store Thursday for a new bucket. The plus speed is so full of roots now. At least I know the little buckets work.

Ok...the lockout. Being 100% honest it's a combo of stubbornness and pain. They were both dropping in ph to lockout range and I didn't have the strength to pull them out of the tent every 45 min to adjust the ph and I was to stubborn to ask Jool's for help. It was all my fault. I still don't understand why my ph drops like it does. I really think I need to go to RO h2o. I think our tap water tap water is unstable or something in the nutrients reacting with the water.

I ended up transferring them to 2 gallon leaktite buckets from Home Depot. I don't like them. The lids are to soft. It's hard to keep the baskets from falling through. After xmas is over I'm switch to 3 gallon buckets from the hydro store. I'm getting a dolly or cart. It's very frustrating that 20 lbs is to much for me now.

Ok. Pineapple Express smelled like black pepper for a few days but that's morphed into something else. It's taken on strong fruit notes. I'd say almost pineapple. The lower half is still full of white pistols so I'm going to let it go for a while longer. The Plus Speed is getting the axe tonight. I'm not happy with how it turned out but I didn't do the work to keep it pretty.

I started a Bloody Skunk in another folgers can. I like starting them in those. I like to try some small strains in those and doing the whole grow in them. At that size the folgers cans are easy to manage.

Dwc has been tough the 1st time out but even with all the mistakes I'm still going to end up with a lot of smokeable tokeable herb. That not a bad thing .

Will I do more DWC??? Let's just say the 52zip cups are retired

I chopped the plus speed last night. It was not great. 200 plus grams of smokeable tokeable, 200 plus of popcorn bullshit and who knows on the trim(wet weights). I don't weigh that shit. The Missus is happy with the popcorn bud because that's for bho. That woman would stab a mofo for a hit of bho.
