... your tap water should have better pH stability than RO or DI. since the latter have no buffering minerals,... I wonder--- what nute's were you using toward the end? ..could be, if they were a blend of different brands, there was some chemistry/pH conflict...

Ok...the lockout. Being 100% honest it's a combo of stubbornness and pain. They were both dropping in ph to lockout range and I didn't have the strength to pull them out of the tent every 45 min to adjust the ph and I was to stubborn to ask Jool's for help. It was all my fault. I still don't understand why my ph drops like it does. I really think I need to go to RO h2o. I think our tap water tap water is unstable or something in the nutrients reacting with the water.

I ended up transferring them to 2 gallon leaktite buckets from Home Depot. I don't like them. The lids are to soft. It's hard to keep the baskets from falling through. After xmas is over I'm switch to 3 gallon buckets from the hydro store. I'm getting a dolly or cart. It's very frustrating that 20 lbs is to much for me now.

Ok. Pineapple Express smelled like black pepper for a few days but that's morphed into something else. It's taken on strong fruit notes. I'd say almost pineapple. The lower half is still full of white pistols so I'm going to let it go for a while longer. The Plus Speed is getting the axe tonight. I'm not happy with how it turned out but I didn't do the work to keep it pretty.

I started a Bloody Skunk in another folgers can. I like starting them in those. I like to try some small strains in those and doing the whole grow in them. At that size the folgers cans are easy to manage.

Dwc has been tough the 1st time out but even with all the mistakes I'm still going to end up with a lot of smokeable tokeable herb. That not a bad thing .

Will I do more DWC??? Let's just say the 52zip cups are retired

I think the main reason you couldn't keep your rez stable was its size, it is really tough to keep a rez stable when it is so small.
you really need at least 16 - 20 liters of solution per plant. Anything less than that and you start having problems.
not that you can't turn out plants in a mini hydro situation, but you really need to bring your A game, along with experience to be satisfied with mini's.

16 to 20 liters is to heavy man. I'll just have to move faster on the 2 gallon buckets. I've made an easy test port to pull sample water from and add what is needed. I could put the same ports on 5 gallon jobbies to but when they need pulled out for maintenance I can't risk it. Just one pop or crack wrong on my spine and I'm back in hot water. It took me more then one try to get the 44oz cups to work but I figured them out. I'll get this shit too. I still got over 3oz off the pineapple express and more on the plus speed. That's a chunk of weed.

Here's some chop shots if the Pineapple Express from the other night @Waira. I don't get pineapple but it is fruity and sweet. Jool's and I smoked some of it yesterday and it's quite strong with a heavy smile side effect. Shit had me smiling for a couple hours. That's not an easy task.

Bloody Skunk update time. This thing started off one of the ugliest plants I've ever grown but has turned into an absolute beauty. I can't believe it's the same plant.

I'm in your same situation @Bromeo because i have some AN nutrition bottle around the house and some seeds (magnum, big devil xl, and automazar)
Considering my tent 60cmWX60cmLX170H and my light mars hydro reflector 300, how many buckets I can run?

What size buckets are you considering? I wouldn't suggest anything under 2 gallon. 3 gallon would be even better and 5 gallon would be optimum. You said you have magnum? Dude I would do one in a 3 gallon bucket (available at most hydro stores) and lst the shit out of it.

Never did magnum, purchased 3 seeds last year for an outdoor grow since I know they become huge.
I know my space is limited...So maybe my best bet is to just go for one plant.
I'm still unsure about coco/dwc and if I want start a cycle....
