    Bruce Banner Bonsai
After moderate success on my first bonsai, I began germinating this one the day the last one got the chop. A moist paper towel in a plastic bag on top of the router method was used, 48 hrs and a small tail appeared. Seed was then directly planted into the .7l vessel. Vessel has a layer of hydroton on bottom about two layers thick, and CoM Stonington blend filled the rest. The seed is from Seed Stockers. Hoping she can find light somehow as it’s super crowded in my tent.

    Day 12?
  • Didn’t have her second finger leaves bigger then her first by day 10 so I think the full eject from the soil by my stoner moves slowed her down, but in Bonsai maybe that’s OK. Temps are also less than ideal which could contribute to slowed growth(68f average). I have her on the floor to encourage stretching of the lower nodes, as I think this looks better in a bonsai. Added 1/2 tsp CoM SBPF and watered in. Once her height is equal to the length of the pot she will be pinned down across the pot to create a wind swept look. I’d love to get enough height out of her to then go all the way back across like a c or s shape as though after many years of growth the winds changed.:smoking:

    Day 70
  • Late flowering LST to get the desired shape. I think looking at other online cannabonsai a lot of the shaping happens later in flower, with the plant likely not looking 100% bonsai until moments before the photo shoot. This plant smells like the bag weed Bruce Banner I used to buy off a guy in his basement, pretty excited as it was a favorite then. I always emptied the BB bag first. Also funny training for aesthetics and not necessarily max bud production. She’s so much greener than the wedding glue it’s nuts

    Day 80 I think
  • The LST was removed and the plant mostly went back to the same shape:crying: she still has a week or two more I reckon I can just see some amber showing in the sugar leafs. She smells incredible and I’m chomping at the bit to harvest her.

    Day 90 Finish
  • Glad to say this lady made it to the end, I’ll likely let her dry unconventionally by leaving her in the pot on display for the next week without watering. On the sweet skunk bonsai I harvested in this way and the smoke was the same as the bigger plant I grew and dried normally so it shouldn’t taint the final product. Once she’s dry I’ll weigh her up and post the results I’d say more than half an ounce

really hard to choose an angle and the kind of thing where it would help to be a photographer and have an actual camera :baked:

    Final weigh in
  • 11 grams of Bruce banner bonsai on the scales. She dried really quick as it’s still very dry in my house and maybe she’s a bit too but I already vape tested and it tastes great already. Really fun growing cannabonsai see you next time
