Ooo can I chime in too? For the sake of keeping your school project in the safe zone, id do what kindred suggested and do maybe 1 or 2 transfers, see how you do with those and if your comfortable and confident with the transplant do the rest.

That way if you flub up, you still have something to do your paper on :thumbup:

Yes, this is what I plan on doing.

Small Update: Still under 800w's of CFl at the moment, switching to a 1000w HPS [sadly no cooltube] in the morning. But because the Widow is so much smaller than the rest...had to prop it up a bit. No biggie, I'm just OCD about some things and seeing the babes on different levels is aggravating me to no end!

Oh believe me...I know. Had to carry that shit down 8 flights of stairs and up 3. I have 6 going at the moment, and am looking to start 6 more [strains still unknown] around 7 or 8 weeks.

i would run any less than 9 plants 3x3 rows plants under a 1000w
Maybe up to 16 plants in 4x4 rows in about 4.5x4.5ft and 4x4ft for 9 plants if that helps at all

might want a new bulb if its second hand those 1000w are not cheap

Ok, now Im confused. When I asked before I was told to use it, now it seems like that's not such a good idea? Im moving into my new grow space tomorrow, its aprox 6x8, light will hang in the center over the plant table. So, seem like a good idea or should I stick to the CFL's? It doesn't matter to me either way, I didn't purchase the light, it was given to me. Also, the bulb is new.

6' x 8' will be a sweet size for that light, Ez. And since you said you're going to be dropping more beans soon, you'll have enough plants under there to make it worth your while. I think agito was recommending more plants under that light to make sure the extra cost in power is worth it, and making sure you were aware that if the bulb needed replacing, it would cost more than just a few schillings. If you have a new bulb, you should be groovy for a while!

BTW, super jealous of your 6' x 8' grow space. I'd give my ear and nose hair for a space that big! :smokebuds:

Don't be jealous, the only reason I'm getting the space is because a tree fell on our house causing us to rebuild that portion. The only bright side was, with my room being as big as it is, we were able to turn a standard closet into a walk-in without any loss of usable space.

Thought I wound bring this up as its been happening for about 3 days now. When my lights switch on, my cheese looks like this...

Everything seems to turn upwards towards the lights. Could this be seen as an issue, or is it ok? FTR- it was recently watered, but so was everyone else and yet this is the only one exhibiting this behavior. Thoughts?

No worries there, some strains tend to go to sleep at night and their fan leaves will droop. When they wake up in the morning, they stretch their arms and reach for the sky. I love watching them go through that cycle.
