your between 6.0-6.5 -- you will see the difference between 5 and 6 as 5 is way more orange.

you can top dress with dolomite lime above the soil as well as water it with the dolomite mixed in as well.

overtime the dolomite lime will be activated and it will help balance out the soil youre using.

Hey man I have some lime right now.

I only have about 3/4 gallon of distilled. I put on drop ph up and got it to this.

That looks about right doesn't it?

And if i sprinkle some lime on the soil can I water with the water shown in the pic above or do I need it higher or lower?

Edit: also how much lime on top? Like cover the soil completely or jus sprinkle some around?

You'd want to sprinkle what you would've otherwise dissolved, so sprinkle 2 teaspoons per plant but nice and evenly and water it in.

Looks like that's as close to 6.5 as I can get it

you'd want to water with 6.5.. why do you not use your brewer meter btw? You have calibration solution.. you know, the more I think about it and look at the plants I really wonder if your issue is using distilled water more so than anything.. why are you so afraid of using dechlorinated tap? Distilled needs cal-mag in it every time, or AT LEAST 2/3 of the waterings at a LOW-LOW dose.. i.e: 5ml/gal = normal dose, you do it at 1.75ml/gal and up it on waterings where you see deficiency.

i water to around that color as well (also using the drop kits)

that will work perfectly fine.

make sure you keep notes of the following:
water ph
water ph after added nutes + list of nutrients
# of drops to lower the mix to appropriate ph

once you have those noted -- its like you dont ever have to check the ph again (as long as its the same exact measurements)

I use my meter and my drop test. My meter is cheap and it will read over 7 when on the drop test its clearly yellow. I'll calibrate it and ill get a reading, check the same water, get a different reading I don't know how much I trust it but I do use it. I just post pics if the drop test so u guys see what's going in.

An as far as tap water, I just thought distilled water was better than tap..if its better I can use it
Along time ago I was told be careful using regular bottled/ purified water because it has salt in it and can cause build up so I started using distilled.

i meant work it in the top 2 inches of soil.

top of soil << dolomite lime added on top << mix it to the first 2 inches of soil / dont just leave it on top of it.
