6 KVS and 1 White dwarf soaked for 12 hours and had already sunk. Last night stuck them in paper towel on top of three towels then on top of heating pad. Woke up this morning to all having tails. So right around 24 hours, and I'm transplanting them to the fiber pots as we speak. :booya:

Also tried using something different when sticking tailed seed in soil. I follow Jorge Cervantes on planting seed, double seed width depth. So I ended up using a medicine dropper to make the small hole for the seed in the soil using only the tip, seems to be perfect depth and width hole so seed does not move around and tail stays down. Then I used my plastic tweezers to insert in soil, gave a light mist then covered. Then I stuck them in a box and on top of a towel so they dont get cold. If they get cold tonight I will add my heating pad. But there under the light so they should be warm.

Side Note**

I have grown many times but this is my first using a soil-less mix like BX. I will say it takes some getting used to for me. I transplanted my seed directly into soil on the first run. And knowing there is no nutes in the soil it has taken some getting used to for me to take care of my seedlings properly. Which is usually an easy normal task when I use other mediums. I got the watering down on soil-less now, but adding the proper nutes and proper timing is critical at that stage. You can either really help them, or you really set them back at that point.

After transplanting into BX I saw signs of yellowing before second watering. PH of soil was 6.4. When are you AN guys adding feed to seedlings when in a nuteless mix? Is Cal/Mag needed early on? When I ran photos never used Calmag early on. I gotta learn more about autos whole nother world!

When I use a starter mix and transplant after being under flouros a bit I have always had great success rate and my seedlings are further ahead then they are now. You guys think its cause of the HPS? or Nute issue? I just feel my seedling are far behind. I have never started seedlings under the HPS and was just forced to this time around. Any incite? Going to post my nute lineup if that will help.

What's up brotha. Hang on let me get in the mood here before i lay it on ya. :toke:

I too am a promix bx user. And man let me tell ya this shit is magical! I switched from ff to promix and I've have no ph problems what so ever as opposed to ff. However, I dont use AN. Im planning on selling my kidney to buy some lol. I do the same thing with all my Feedings for young plants. First 2 waterings are plain ph'd at 6.4. On the second I feed with 1/2 tbs o' molasses, 1.5ml of grow, hydro rush, pro-tekt, mag-pro, and 2.5 ml of ff big bloom. They love it man. Never had a burn. From there on out I increase until I see a little burn then back off.

I try to give them a little of every nutrient to start off with. I think feeding a 2 week old seedling is just fine. Some autos are a real beeyotch to grow IMO. The yeild is affected so much by every little mistake.

How did the foilar spray work out for ya?

Foliar spray helped a little for sure brought back some green to the leaves. I also had the beginning sign of leaf curling up so I raise lights a little. Was talking with grindin earlier about a second clone size tent and a t5 for veggin the small ones. I do like the BX it seems to stay stable so far. Seedling just look stunted and I cant pin down why other then the AN as I'm new to it. Might pull the Canna back out for the KVS, cause Im comfortable with it. I gave them on the 11th day, less 1/8 dose Sensi Grow, 1ml voodoo juice, and 1ml b-52 and had some signs of nute burn.

I will say the White Cheese is taking it like a champ and so is the easy ryder seems all others are stunted and less then an inch to inch and half tall and we are going on two weeks. Temps is room is 77 surface level, ph water and soil is good. Just never had as many problems when growing photos, funny just when you thought you know something there is more to be learned. This is a great experience though just a little frustrated cause I used to it going more smooth.

Oh and I had to give a kidney and a testicle....Those Canna 5L will set you back a little piece of your heart too....

Hot damn man those are some great nutes. I can't wait to try out AN. It's gonna be hard to give up fox farm lol.

With the way your plants look I would not touch a thing.. I will work thru these kinks and sure will get back on course. If not I will weed out the weak and just keep throwing more in till I get it right.

Couple pics of the problem childs.. I think a combination of me not being home for a 5 days unexpected in beginning and them being under watered might have put a hurt on these. Also going to pick a T5 up to start veggin under. Raised the light at first sign of leaf curl, but I think early nute burn hurt. Second watering when I saw signs of lack of nutes I had miss feed less then 1/8 strength and still burned them I believe.

After flushing pots when I arrived home which has been two days, new growth is spurring on the bigger ones and it looks decent, the little guys are not moving much though. This is day 12 from spotting any sign of head above soil. Glad I got KVS in starter mix for a backup, learning new medium and nutes is like starting all over again. lol its a fun challenge. I actually got a little complacent in my last grow it went so smooth. On with the challenge, these will be ready for water tomorrow night or sunday. I'm a little scared to give nutes and think I will flush moderately once again. Anyone want to throw in a plan let me know at this point. I'm pretty disappointed one of my worst starts in almost 15 years of growing.

White cheese looks decent at best
Easy Ryder biggest so far
Blue Mammoth and Think different looking the worst :( sucks only have 3 TD. and the twin tap root turned out to be a mutant so far. :(

Hope I can turn them around. If not I'm breaking out the canna and letting the KVS rip so I have something worth showing. :D Will post more pics in regular lighting. These look better then they did two days ago green is coming back very slow.

looks like your armed and loaded with your nutrients.

hope they do the trick for those fat buds.

:wiz:

Well my germ method this time around worked awesome. 7 for 7 on this one. And exactly 3 days from seed to above ground. Going to pull some of the weak an bring it down to like 8-10 of best plants.

15 Day above soil.

Here are pic's of them before there feeding this morning. It has been 5 days since the flush of straight RO. They definitely are perking up since flush and new growth is green. Have been using clay pebbles on top and wow what difference. Usually 3 days my pots were dry, now 5 days. They definitely help and for a $10 bag can not be beat.

Past week after flush new growth became more green and seemed to take off again. Yellow began around leave edge and tip and new growth started to look a little yellow couple days after flush. I am thinking I had a full scale lockout when they almost dried out. Flush brought them back now they need nutes. Thinking Nitrogen diff, and Mag. Anyone confirm? I know these are stunted and the strong survive or they get pulled and make way for new so I decided this course of action.

I fed 9 gal to 17 pots.
Mixed 16gal 290 PPM 6.3 PH RO with 24ml Sensi A and B, 6ml B-52, 6ml Voodoo Juice, and 15ml of Cal/Mag
This is per AN old calc set on seedling and split in half so basically 1/16 strength fed twice a week. cause I water close to twice a week or figure I will when they start eating more.
Run off 6.4 and ppm was teetering 500.

Maybe someone can answer this I'm using the old AN calc. At 1/4 strength they say at four gallons the nutes I'm using should produce a PPM of 250 or ec of .35 if you start with 0. I mixed the 1/4 amount to 16 gallons not 4. Thus if fed twice a week it would be 1/8 strength total a week. But why is it in 16 gallons before the cal mag and only the AN my ppm was 290 using 4 times the amount of water. I start with 0 from my RO?? This all confirmed with Bluelab PH and PPM
