I have a dilemma, the BIG Blueberry Headband plant is a male. Now, I'd love to let him have at it, but...

First, how much quality will I sacrifice on the buds I'll get from the female?

Then, I'm stumped as how to isolate him if I keep him. I'm thinking I'll have to haul all the smaller plants in the flower room, back out to the greenhouse.

The idea of having hundreds of BBH seeds is very temping. Between that and the momma KC White, I'd never need photo-period seeds again, I could be happy growing these out in my outdoor grows. I'll have lots of autos to play with. these could be my core for my oils.

If you grow him outside your grow room way away from your female. when he matures get a little paint brush get some pollen on it and then paint a small amount of pollen on some of the lower buds of your female then your whole plant wont be ruined and you will get tons of seeds off of just a few buds.

break a flower off of the male put it in a plastic bag. shake the shit out of it. pull out the bud and the bag should have enough pollen to do lots of plants. You can put the bag in the fridge and it will keep for a very long time.

Hey Pop,

Quality will be near as good, but not quite, at least in my experience.

The males should mature first, I put mine in a bathroom to keep it Isolated, do everything with the male after you are done with the females for the day, then shower. Put the male up on a shelf, once it throws pollen, collect it, put it in a paper type container/envelope. Keep it dry, moisture is pollen's enemy.

Let the seeds go long if you do. if you do the lower branches, harvest the tops, and let the seeded branches go to way mature status, the pods of the seeds will pull back from the seeds, then she is ready.

I have more seeds than I know what to do with for the rest of my time as well. But I still want other stuff. Don't be suprised if you get "seed envy"

ha ha, :Sharing One:

Eek

Eekman, that was a great reply. Yes I decided to put him in my bedroom where there are no drafts, etc. He only grew balls overnight so he's not ripe yet. I'll be keeping a close eye on him. Yes I think O'm going to trey pollenating a set number of buds. I have some ideas for I cross I want to try. Do I ever mention I love this hobby?? :Sharing One:
