I started noticing small white spots on one plant in my 4x8. Temps have been fluctuating due to crazy weather, so I was thinking PM and I pulled the leaves. This morning I found this bug On the top surface of the leaf.

Impacted plant is a Northern Lights day 73. I have 6 other plants in same tent (though I don’t SEE white spots bugs on them yet) and a couple smaller tents in the same room with younger plants. I have insecticidal soap, Neem oil, peroxide, and DE on hand.

Not sure what bug it is - thrip? Spider mite?? What is my best course of action for this not-quite ready to harvest plant as well as other younger plants?

Thanks!

If spidermites, DE would be my choice. I've used hot shot no pests strips for years......seems to prevent most bug problems....

Thank you. So basically coat the plant with DE, then do a dilute peroxide rinse at harvest to get off any on the buds?

Yes, kinda dust the plant all over, then use shop vac to remove anything loose. Few days later, do it again.
Never used any rinse....

Just a quick hijack as we’re talking spider mites….
I had an infestation of sm’s in my last grow, towards the end so wasn’t too bad and I didn’t treat the plants as I knew they’d make it to harvest.

But what now to prevent them coming back early in my next grow? I’ve cleaned the inside of my tent with a 10% bleach solution, and washed all my pots. Is there anything else that should be done to try and ensure the mites are gone before I drop new beans?

Clean the outside of tent then work to entire room. them fvckers travel
But they have such a short life span, surely they’d be dead after a couple of weeks, and any eggs would hatch and the larvae die, as there’s nothing for them to eat?
