I'm planning on growing TD for awhile since I have 20 seeds. I was wondering how big of a cab I should build that would handle 2-400HPS lights. I am planning on growing in 5 gallon smart pots. Also what size fan would be sufficent to exhaust whatever size cab you reccomend.

A 400 watt HPS light can effectively cover a 3' x 3' area, so with two you could go as large as 3' x 6'. I've not grown any TD myself but from what I've seen here, they get tall and spread quite a bit. So I would also suggest you make sure it's tall enough for the plants, the lights and proper space between them, probably at least 6' high if not a bit more. Two 400 watters will generate a lot of heat, so take that into consideration as well. I would suggest using cool tubes and of course, have proper ventilation.
Thanks Muddy, I plan on growing them in 5 gallon buckets, want to get atleast 6-8? In there......... I'll make it 7ft tall

Given how big some the TDs I've seen here have gotten, you may not be able to fit that many, especially growing them in 5 gallon buckets. You might want to check the DP forum and look at some of the grows in there. Some of those plants are massive.

My TD's in 5 gallon buckets stood almost 6 feet high, and were just about 5 feet wide. It all depends on how you're growing them. If you're just letting them grow to their natural size you can maybe grow 3 in a 5 X 10 area. Keep in mind that TD has potential to grow to 300+ grams each, putting you in the 600-1000g range for just three plants provided they have enough space, nutrients, etc, I don't know that 800w will support much more than that. You could likely get 6 in there, but it'll be rough to work with and the plants will be smaller. Just a personal preference thing. Or you could build a Scrog like Tavi, similar size space, a dozen plants, yielding 2000g+ with 2000w of light. If I had unlimited plants I'd probably do a scrog myself, but with a limit on the number of plants I can have, growing each to full size works out better for me.
