I tried doing a search, but its hard because the multi keyword isn't working for me. Keeps giving me a db error. Single word works fine. So sorry if this has been asked before.

Setup:
Soil: FFOF
Nutes:FF Trio
Lights: T5 8 bulb
Strain: Mango

I am going to be entering week three soon and I see some talk about cal/mag here and there. I am wondering when should I start adding this into my plants feedings, or should I not?

Also, if any one has any good idea on a good brand or such, please let me know. I am always interested in that. Besides Cal/Mag, is there any thing else i should have on stand by, or be using in my feedings?

Thanks.

Hey Sauce. Ive personally used the FF veg n bloom myself with the Equilibrium and its excellent stuff.Never had an issue...ever, with cal mag.I feed every other watering as a rule when I used nutes. But there are cheaper brands but this has done me well.

And imho I would get some Kelp soluable too.can be used as a foliar with outstanding results plus added to the soil it'll help a little with some stresses and root nute uptake.Ive had outstanding results with this stuff.there are others,Alaskan (a bit strong though)for one.but I prefer this.be well dude.

Hydro guys suffer cal mag issues more because we play in the 5.5-6 ph range. Your cal mag is absorbed above 6.2.

Another vote for liquid seaweed. One of the ones I use I got at Home Depot, it's
a little cheaper than the ones they sell in pot stores with pretty labels.

I've been using General Organics CaMg+ it's fine but it's just calcium carbonate and magnesium
carbonate (which are quite cheap for the company to buy). So I am looking for
a cheaper way out for that.

FF has some good stuff, but personally, I'm not a fan. I just switched to a locally made organic potting soil.
My General Organics Go Box has everything at a decent price, and it's great for getting started.
I've been using it for a couple grows, and it works well. I am torn between just buying another because
it's so easy, and saving a few bucks by sourcing things from ordinary gardening stores.

Did that kit get you through an entire grow?

(Sorry for the hijack, Sauce - but that seems like a nice comprehensive collection....like "Feeding Weed for Dummies")

If you use filtered (reverse osmosis) water it wouldn't hurt to add a little calmag in every watering. RO removes the minerals from the water, contributing to deficiencies. I do 2ml/gal during veg and bump it up to 4-5ml in early.
