Hello Folks, I am a novice grower, ive used Auotbeast method/recipe = https://www.autoflower.org/threads/...a-perfect-healthy-auto-start-to-finish.67300/
well cant get biobizz anymore , so ive went with Bio365 Biolite = https://www.bio365.com/biolite
And am realizing it's a medium but not really a soil (?) mostly coco coir and perlite I guess (?)

So I wonder ,should I keep using Advanced Nutrients Sensi Grow/Bloom A/B's
or
perhaps use their Sensi Coco Grow/Bloom A/B's ?

I emailed Advanced Nutrients and received this message;

Thank you for your email.

You can certainly use the Sensi Grow/Bloom A&B's in this medium with great success however it would be optimal to use the Sensi Coco Grow A&B / Sensi Coco Bloom A&B. When using the non coco specific base nutrients in coco many growers will choose to supplement with Sensi Cal/Mag Xtra at a rate of 2mL/L of water given to the plants throughout the grow to help compensate for coco coir's high catione xchange properties as a growing medium.

Please note coco coir as a growing medium will require daily feeding, we have a video you can review on the topic at

Regards

I kinda think maybe I should just keep feeding regular sensi grow/bloom a/b's as im use to doing
any all advice/comments/opinions/suggestions welcomed and THANK YOU !!

It looks to be a blend of coco and peat moss with perlite, and it appears to be amended with nutrients. Im not familiar with the line but if its amended and has peat moss those amendments will stick in the peat and be released slowly where the coco won't hold nutrients at all. My guess its about 2-4 weeks of complete nutrition. So I wouldn't start feeding right away.

You can use that nutrient line with that medium, really you can use any kind of fertilizer in any kind of medium as long as you know how they act in the medium. Like I said peat will hold on to nutrients so when you feed part of that feed will be absorbed by the peat and let go of slower. So just keep an eye on your inputs and the plant. Medium blends can be a little trickier to use than straight coco or straight soil because they act different. As far as adding cal mag, you may need to but be cautious. Most hydro growers add calmag to buffer pure water. You need to add calmag to pure water so there's suspended minerals for EC. Otherwise the EC of RO or distilled water is 0. If you didnt the water would leech nutes from the soil.

If youre worried about nutrient absorption or imbalance, feed when your plants look hungry at a slightly lower ppm or ec than what the line suggests after a couple of days if they still look hungry you know you can bump it up a bit, keep that approach till can get within 90% of the ppms your line suggests for a feed. I always like to air on the lighter side of feeds rather than heavier.

I think you're right just keep doing what you've been doing just probably going to need to feed more often. If you use a 3 gallon or larger you can get away with once a day feeding anything smaller you'll want multiple feedngs a day. If you have any questions about growing in coco I should be able to help but no experience with those nutes. Also Cocoforcannabis.com is a great place to learn about growing in coco :pass:

Thank you very much !! Yeah, when I say im a novice, means I really dont understand most/all of that about EC, RO ,suspended minerals, ppms etc,.,.,.,
sorry im a big dummy, Im aSLOW learner ,that's why I used autobeasts pretty simple method.
Thank you though for the great reply !!!!
Guess ill just try an see how it goes as I did it before with the same method/schedule/nutes, etc.,
maybe have to find a different medium more like Biobizz light mix if this dont work out,

sh*t.

LilDab , So when you and folks say feed more, does that mean Nutes ? or water ?
seems I feed nutes every other day or so. , like recipe calls for
but water , once they get going every day ,sometimes extra , but when ever they need it
I usually use 3 and 5 gallon fabric pots, ive started 4 new seeds all in 3 gallon, hope I can keep them going.

IDK, I sure hope I can get this going and figure it out as I need a new routine/recipe but simple for a dummy, because cant get biobizz
Ive seen others use Pro Mix(not sure what blend?), using the same AB method/recipe , I think I can get that.

Thanks Folks !

I mean adding nutes more often and less plain waterings ec/ppm will be the same. To me sounds like you'll be feeding every watering once they get going. They say there is peat in it but talk like it should be treated like coco which would mean never plain water always add balanced nutes. Also going to want runoff >10% runoff when fertigating(water+fertilizer=fertigate) coco is recommended
