So I believe this is a calcium deff but just looking for conformation. I'm feeding AN full line up at full strength watering every other day with tap water and nutes. Ph is 6. Growing in pro mix. Day temps are 80 to 84 night temps are 71 to 72. Humidity is 40 to 45 at any given point. Bit confused as why I have this deff. I'm feeding enough that's for sure lol either way heres some pics of the issue. Could to much iron cause this by chance or letting my pro mix get to dry between waterings?

@Waira

I'll let @Waira give ya his master advice but i will say sure looks like a ph problem to me lol I know promix is considered soiless but it still does best around 6.5ph :thumbsup:

I've ran into issues with phosphorus anything over 6.2. I didn't think you could go that high in promix or you lose micro nutrients. Hmmm I have to admit ether Ph or a nutrient in excess would make sense. I just have never had issues with promix until ph hit 5.5 before.

@Waira
Hi @Clix

This is definitely a calcium and some magnesium deficiency going on too.

You may be feeding at full strength but some varieties can be quite thirsty for some extra calcium and magnesium.

Your pH is a little on the low side too which could be locking out some of the nutrients that plant is able to take up.

Get yourself a stand alone bottle of cal/mg and start dosing earlier on before the pant goes into flower.

I'm sure Waira will have a better insight than me. But I hope this helps the moment

:pass: what's good Clix?
....so, how far away are the lights? The symptoms are kinda weird, up high, and staying strongly interveinally along with that pattern of necrosis.... not the usual MO for Ca defc., but Ca is notorious for presenting pretty diversely if other factors/nutes are involved,.. Normally symptoms up high like this is a micronute defc., and Zn defc. is in play here too; 2nd pic w/o necrosis is spot-on for Zn defc., that "zebra-striping" is tell tale,... lights too close can drive borderline defc.'s into manifesting, usually only in the areas getting hammered hardest.. so much of this is tied together mate! I've not seen Zn defc. cause this necrosis though, but if it's let go to an advanced stage, it follows,.. always though it will yellow out first....
... got a in-pot pH for me? You know that's always where we start! :rofl: Most micro's lock out at the more alkaline range of optimal pH, 6.8+ very generally,... and that's pretty uncommon in Promix,... BUT your tap water is a potential culprit if it's very hard; a lot of mineral CaCO3 input can cumulatively drive pH up, despite you pH adjusting inputs,... If in-pot pH is OK, and pending light info, a simple lack-of defc. is possible too,... This is why I always use a micro's supp' regularly, along with Si and humic-fulvics,....
Pro-Mix run a bit lower in pH than true soil,.....

Hey @Waira How have you been? Its been awhile :smoking: My lights were very close. About 5 inches away and are cmh and led. In pot ph is 6 to 6.2. Its been weird grow lol Everything I had learned up till now seemingly isn't working haha. I had thought maybe I had to much iron or potassium just messing with uptake of other nutes but nothing conclusive to point that way. The lights were for sure to close though the recommended distance for cmh is 24 inches

The first thing I thought when he said AN and tap water. Too high starting PPMs with the tap water?
Starting ppm were 140 according to the 500 scale. So pretty normal for town tap water

:smoking: All's well enough Clix, thanks!
:hothot: Oy! OK that's the mostly likely cause mate, LED especially, but that CMH is no flashlight either,...18-24" in bloom, 24-30"-ish veg' is a pretty general rule-of-thumb,... too close overloads the whole photosynthesis machine, it simply cannot use more than a certain amount of light energy at a time, past that is actually counter productive.... it will also start to screw up the VPD (vapor pressure deficit) on a "local" level,... there's an article on VPD in Reference section, plus a vid' link,.. this involves the proper balance of T and RH%, also air movement indirectly... If that get wonky, it starts a variety of odd symptoms potentially,....
... you have a little tip burn, minor stuff, not lock-out range ovefert'ing.... K defc. and toxicity look very similar ironically, starting with the margin "teeth" tip burn out all along the margin,... FE, no way to overload that unless you're just dumping the micronute's in!
....back the lights way up, treat them as recommended,...
Water is fine at 140ppm,...

Always a pleasure friend :D Will do my girls will thank you. Although I lost this girl tonight. She hermed on me. Ironically in the spot closest to the light. Threw bananas at me haha. I have another one having the same issue just allot less significant. So I will apply your advice to her :d5::vibe: :pass:
