Hello fellas!

I am trying to find out what size I need on the exhaust fan and on the carbon filter for a grow room that is 42m3.
Is it correct to multiply 42m3 with 60'(min) to find out the amount of cubic meters/hour the air will be exchanged by the fan?
Is there a way to calculate the size of the carbon filter needed?

Hi, kyriakos. You need to calculate the cubic square feet of your grow room. ( width x height x length) The fans you will see have a CFM rating. that stands for cubic square feet a minute the fan will pull. My limited understanding is that you need to turn the air over 3-5 times a minute. So if your room was 40 cubic feet a 120cfm fan would be ok. I have a room that is approximately 50 cubic feet and I went with a 6 inch 440 cfm fan/filter combo. It seems to be working but I have only had it running for about a month.

Hmm... According to that my 2.4 Cu. Ft. cab needs right about 250m^3/h.
I bought an inline fan that can do 180 and a filter that is rated 255 or something. Seems like I was pretty close.

Thanks for the link!

NP guys, the link is def handy for sizing the proper CFM rating to your room size
