New Grower CalMag & Foliar Epsom

I'm curious if I should add both CalMag and also foliar feed with Epsom salt. Do I want to do both? Why or why not?

The plant will tell you if it likes it or not, if it need's it then there will be no negative side effects.....you can over do it on mag?

Oddly enough, you can, although I think it would take one heck of a dose, and probably over a long period of time. Excess Mg can actually hurt Ca uptake. I've never seen it...

And what about leaf/bud residue when smoking? Any effect on taste? How long before harvest should foliar feeding cease?

Mg is absorbed as Mg++, and is very mobile in both the plant and the soil.
I wouldn't do a foliar over the tops of buds, although in a pich you can wipe the leave.
10 or 14 days before havest, just good ol' pH'ed water.

I would say avoid moisture on the buds the last 30 days, and that's only to avoid bud rot or mold.......

Question: when is the best time to foliar feed? I lean toward lights out when the stomata aren't busy taking in co2...?

I think and seem to.have better results ..Feed them An Hour before lights on ...that way the leaves are saturated all lights out ..

Also Foliar feeding with epsom Salts Leaves a Film.amd.Burns usually ...
Folair feed then foliar rinse....
