I am using two AutoCobs and got a Lux Meter but then read that since AutoCobs are LED lights they can't be measured in Lux.

I tried to measure mine at 18" distance and the meter said 15,500 lux. When I drop the light to the distance that groweedeasy recommends (40,000 lux) the light is about 10" away and I know that's not right.

So...is it true that AutoCobs, even though they aren't blue and red can't be accurately measured by a Lux meter?

That is a good question ABM. Did you ever find any answers? I am looking for that same information.

Yes...you can't do it. Waste of money.

Thanks ABM, I had a meter in the drawer and got the same lux reading at around the same distance. It turned out to be way too close to my little girl. She is recovering from that mistake now with the autocob at 24" and it was recommended that it may need even a little more distance depending on the strain characteristics. This has been like starting over as far as learning so many different factors that are auto-specific as opposed to photos.
Once again, big thanks.
