i was wondering if autos can be distracted by light to herm like photosensitive species of cannabis? so... are autos 100% resistant to that?

:toke:

Welcome Salamander. Thanks for joining. As far as what I have earned they do not react to light like photos. So I think you're good. I add though that someone more experienced will maybe modify this so keep up. Good luck brother.

tnx

so which factor is the most often that makes autoflowers herm(light, temperature, any kind of stress,...?) except unstable genetics...
:peace:

Good question salamander! I am wondering the same ... What does make Autos herm? if not light ? then obviously temps and genetics ...but what about aggresive lst or supercropping...? I know that supercropping is not the way to go for autos but just more curious on the subject of what stresses cause this I guess? interesting!

Light fluctuations will cause a hermie, especially in weak genetics.. I've had plants hermie going 12/12 to 18/6 to 20/4 back to 18/6.. Just the same as a normal photoperiod..

what if the schedule is messed up by a few hours? do you still risk the plants herming?

for example, i turn my lights on and off myself..i dont have them on a timer. sometimes ill over sleep or something and theyll get an extra hour or so of light but ill still turn them back on the normal time... i wont give them that extra hour of lights off.

i run my lights 20/4. Normally my lights are off from 1:40-5:40 p.m but like today i didnt turn them off until like 3 p.m but still i will turn them on at 5:40.

can little fluctuations like that cause herming? or does it have to be changed by like hours? ive also read autos wont herm due to light fluctuations cause obviously theyre not light sensitive like photos..can someone clear that up for me :smokebuds:

they might flower due to age not shortened hours of light , but light stress will still cause weak genetics to hermie , photo or auto

peace
