Trying To Open My Mind To Autoflowers

.......

Full strength Calmag!
Most other nutes and supplements at ¼ to ½ strength.
......
I would recommend against cal-mag supplementation, particularly "full strength," unless seen or presumed to actually be needed, such as if for some reason your base and supplemental nutrients are not providing enough. And has your media/soil been pre-charged or buffered with a calcium salt?

Ah...you may be right.
I was supposing hydro or soilless.

Yeah, definitely won't be using cal mag, my waters cal:mag ratio is something mental like 25:1, so Epsom salts or you just add to the problem. Not that I usually bother with Epsom salts either, but I might have to now I'm not no tilling.

I have thinking about getting an RO filter. Like I say, before this I ran no till, which some people still say can benefit from RO water, but I never found it necessary, even with mine being so awful. Be interesting to see what happens in a small pot.

Get yourself a PPM or EC meter. They are cheap.

I was going to invest in an RO system but my water is typicaly around 7-15ppm. RO would not make enough of a difference.

A little tip: A very small amount of Vit C will instantly get rid of chlorine. (a sliver of a tablet and it does not noticably lower pH ) It doesn't get rid of chloramine, only chlorine.

I can’t speak to living soil because I haven't done it, but these things are important if you are using mineral salts and inert mediums.
