Same here...anytime there is an underformed budsites well under the canopy, it gets lopped...I do the same thing with giant photoperiod plants to increase premium tips.

Plant in pic is showing around 3 feet of lower stripped of immaure shaded bud sites/shoots...final pull 90oz dry...efforts paid off!
