Hi everybody,

Figured General Chat was the best place for this.... But I was just curious, especially for Canadian members coming from various backgrounds, on your opinion of Health Canada's current status on medicinal cannabis. This thread can go anywhere from a general discussion of regulations (MMAR program vs. MMPR), to a more business/capitalist discussion of the Licensed Producers, their public offerings on stock exchanges, reputability, new market entrants, etc, etc..... And primarily: how do all of these things end up effecting patients? For better? For worse?

And what are some suggested fixes for some of the drawbacks of the aforementioned systems? Where will Licensed Producers be in future? Or within a recreational market like some of our American brothers?

I've been doing a lot of reading, and so I'll likely inject my opinions if this gets rolling, ha ha, but I was interested in hearing from anyone who has an opinion, particularly those who are being affected by Health Canada's new design. I'm not asking for anyone to self-incriminate themselves though! But spark up the discussion if you've been following the laws, LPs, new entrants, etc!!

Thanks for your opinions!

Best,

GK

its not health canadas new design , health canada wants out , they never wanted it in the first place , it was court ordered and forced on them , thats why they did their best to make it fail and be as difficult for med users as possible

the new program is nothing more then a government money grab , one that for a fortunate few that will be a money grab for them as well , the government wants to grab as much money as they can FAST because they know some day it will be legal , they can only fight it for so long , and the time is coming that there will be no more fight left in them

its screwing us as canadian citizens and med users though , until the day finally comes that it is legal

I agree with your saying that it hurts med users....Certainly.....Which is too bad, and I empathize.... It's definitely a money-grab. Of course Canadian citizens can capitalize off this as well....And so I was interested in looking at some different perspectives.

It hurts the serious users who require the better part of an oz/day.......It's unsustainable to purchase that much for daily medicinal use....and so I certainly think there needs to be a patch up job on this whole thing....We have some goofy laws up here.

Thanks for providing your opinion!
