Grow Mediums Canna coco ph and ppm's in run off

Hey there! :D

Testing run off in coco is a bit misleading and canna advise not to bother.
You'd be better off with an accurate8 probe i think.

Althogh i never check run off. I water coco to about 10% run off and then assume that i've pushed any salt buildup through and the PH is around the 5.8 mark.

As for PPMs, I only use EC so can't really speak for them. But 0.8EC miniumum feed and probably work up to about 1.8 during flowering. Some more modern autos can handle a stronger feed.
Look for a leaf tip burn to show where the feed was too strong and at the limit! :D

Hope this helps!

Also wait ... lol

I just realised they're day 10 and you don't want to be watering to run off at this age (or the pot will always be wet, the roots won't search and you may get small plants).

I would do the platic cup measurement and just incease a little each day.
At day 20 the leaves should be roughly at the edges of the pot (like 15 litre pot).

At day 30ish you plat will be big neough to water to run off .. and from then, every few days water to run off.
Gauge it by the weight of the pot. Pickup when fully saturated (heavy right!?) .. and then pick up 2 days later ... So light!! :D

This should help a bit too! :D

My question is I ph my water to 5.8 and ppm has never went over 250 but my run off is ph 6.9
Drop the ph enough coming in to match what ph you want coming out.

I've got some autos that I've feed up to over 2000 ppm

Well I flushed two of them, runoff ph was stil quiet high but ppm's went down.. Did a slurry test on the coco and it showed it the ph at 6.1 so happy enough with that so il let it go and just keep an eye on them
yeah im dealing with the same issue with my canna coco. i just rinsed the next batch of coco and i was getting a initial runoff of 1250ppm so i ran about 250ppm of calmag and kelp throught it until it showed me the same ppm readings coming out. im not gonna worry about the pH. lets see how that works for me and ill let you know
