I grow now to make edibles, keeping only a small amount to smoke. I can't believe the difference between eating and smoking. Pre-internet in my younger days, we did not know about decarb'ing etc so we basically crumbled up our weed and cooked it in brownies. Now I know what we were missing. Wow And so easy using a pressure cooker. First I decarb it. I don't use a grinder as I just imagine all of those beautiful trichs I have been admiring in my eyepiece for so long getting knocked off and "lost in my grinder", so I just hand crumble it over the cookie sheet i will be using. I do dry it first Anyway, either crumble it over the sheet or put your grinded cannabis on the cookie sheet. Spread it out really well the ratio I now use is a rough 2 to 1 - 2 cups of oil for every ounce. If the trim is not that great, use more cannabis. Personally, I now use buds and the sugar leaves. Cover the cookie sheet with foil and pinch the edges so it forms sort of a seal Put cookie sheet in preheated 220 degree oven for 1 1/2 - 2 hours (I go for the whole 2) When done, remove and put the cannabis in a mason jar. I crumble it up much better now that it is dry, but I do it over the mason jar. I am sure most will use a grinder but as mentioned, i have a hard time doing that to those poor trichs. Add the oil and stir it up well. Make sure it is all totally saturated with oil. If you have to, add a little more oil until it is. Put the lid on the mason jar and pressure cook. My p.c. is a 15psi and I pressure cook it for 20 minutes. i start the timer when the rocker starts a rockin' After 20 minutes, I turn off the stove and let it cool down naturally. When it is cool, strain it however you strain it and voila, canna oil that will make everyone happy. For the brownies, I like using the Ghiradelli Turtle brownie mix. It is the one that has caramel in it and the caramel goes perfect with the mj taste. It uses 1/3 cup of oil and I also use the canna-oil to lightly grease the 8 x 8 dish. It also takes 1 egg and 1/4 cup of water. Mix it up, add the caramel, cook at 325 for 40 minutes. Enjoy. I like these because they taste great, but I also like the 325 degree cooking temp. Am on my way to cut up and eat a batch now i just took out of the oven. i won;t be sleeping tonight
