Hello to all! I have been growing with LEDs for the past year. I am ready to make an upgrade but can't decide what to buy. I have decided on three different brands. The SuperGrow LED Spectrum King SK450, the Valoya RS150 LED or the Sunlight Spectrum King 300. Now they all have around the same price and seem to be really good lights. I just wanted to know if anyone here has ever worked with them, has heard good or bad things about them, just some general knowledge. My grow space isn't real big, 1mX1mX2m. Lookin' to grow 5 to 6 plants max in there. Would love some advice!! Thanks :peace:

If those are in the same price range, then the choice is quite obvious, I'd definitely go for SpectrumKing 300 or even 400.
No experience from my side, but the numbers and videos speak for themselves.

you are probably right Balarama, never worked with them myself, for the moment I have a progrow 400 and I am not very impressed...I just switched to 12/12 so we will see how they turn out but the Veg was sooooo slow! Might be me, but I don't think it is. I have two other autos under a fero 6 spot and they are doing great, really happy in the super soil I made up, as for the others, not sure if they are liking the ph of the soil which is a little weird since the autos seem to love it. I think I will be doing a test for the next grow, and put some autos under the PG400 and see how they perform. thanks for your advice! Don't know where you are writing from but if you are in europe do you know if they sell the sunlight spectrum king here yet? Might be too soon.

US based? I have HydroGrow LED SOL 9 450w (with 450w actual power draw) which does absolute wonders. Check my AutoUltimate thread linked in my sig. Brand new spectrum, not mega pink-blinding-gree-eyes, but a gentle salmon tone, I can really see the green off the plants. At this rate I may get really close to 2GPW.

now I have been looking at a PlantPhotonics LED but they are quite expensive! I sent an e-mail to the guy and he said that a lot of the LEDs on the market are BS. He also states that in his opinion, his lights are the best on the market. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt so I rethought what lights I will keep researching. It is a real hard time to make up my mind when we are talking about that sum of money! I will check out the sol9 The Groff and see what they offer. Any pictures of your grows? Call me lame but I am not very sharp with forums so I didn't find your grow journal;;;;:Gary:

PlantPhotonics look like a joke, old tech and way overpriced.
Of course their guy sais PPled is best, he's a salesman:)

I'd rather get me a solid unit, so far SpectrumKing, GrowNorthern, Hydro Grow and AdvancedLeds seem the only considerable options.
The other option would be getting a cheap chinese led and investing the harvest in a better light:)

The newest version of the Blackstar 240 would be a solid LED that has current technology combined w/ a great track record ...

:tiphat:

Best USA based led u will find is a solar storm. No light can touch the density it puts out! If you going to spend big money on a US LED they are the top of the top. If you looking at spendong close to 1k for a light u should get their 400w Led it is a beast! Don't believe me find briman and tell me if u see any fluffy low yeilding plant in any of his journals.

O have a new blackstar 240v2 it works great! If you go blackstar I suggest the blackstar ION series best lights they have

Here's another light claiming to bring the sun indoors http://www.mkbenergy.com/#!horticulture-and-growing-/cu7t the thing I don't get is why waste so much light? Yes plants need a little of the spectrum between red and blue but not much....here's some diagrams to demonstrate.

This is 5000K White from the MKB light above.

I have the 200w Solar Flare and I can vouch for the quality of this light. 5w LEDs and made in the USA.
